Magsorc is back with Force Pulse as new Spammable!
Finally a viable "aoe" spammable for magsorcs, wich makes actual content way more effective to clear. Only possible with the new Lightning Staff Change: "Lightning Staves now increase your damage done with direct damage and channeled effects by 6/12%" Flat 12% more dmg on direct dmg is huuuuge on magsorcs. Backbar the 2H Maelstrom weapon got a comeback with the new changes: "Merciless Charge: This set now increases your damage done with direct damage attacks by 9.3% of your Weapon or Spell Damage, up to a maximum of 560", wich makes it slightly better than the blackrose daggers. Still crystal fragment, but as semi spammable by only using the fragment proc. Sustain was kinda hard even with ghastly eye bowl, had to use crushing shock and dark conversion (as prebuff). Use definitely Force Pulse in actual content for extra aoe dmg, shoudn´t be a problem to sustain via supports sets + synergies. Setup with relequen + pillar + 1x slime + kilt + 2h msa is pretty basic for pure single target fights (dummy parse). Managed to get 128k+ dps, only possible with some crit luck. Was usually at around 126k dps, not bad at all. Even missed 6x light attacks ... but weave time was pretty good with 0.014. Biggest problem on sorc in generell is the slack of aoe dmg, should be way better with force pulse now. But probably still not close to other aoe monsters like necro/arcanist/dk/templar, still a nice aoe boost especially nice for NON endcontent players wich are basically 99% of players ;)
About Rotation:
Like in the previous Patch i´ve used Overload at the beginning for around 3-4k more single target dmg and droped the Atronarch shortly before 170 Ulti Points, if you´re unsure slot Dawnbreaker on Frontbar and put Atronarch Backbar should be more common for actual Content. I did use Atronarch on Frontbar this time, gave me around 0.5-1k more dps, like this you don´t need to barswap, only for the ulti! Everything else is pretty easy, spamm Force Pulse/Crushing Shock in Combination with Crystal Fragment Proc and keep up your Dots. About the Pets, do only actively use the Volatile Familiar Pet, the Twilight Pet deals passive dmg do not activate it, only as prebuff! Quick Note: I always Autowalk on Dummy Parses to overcome the clunky Stampede Animation, don´t worry not needed in actual Content!
Rotation:
Activate Overload. Summon + cast both Pets. Prebuff with Hurricane (and Dark Conversion for extra Magicka Sustain, not needed in actual Content).
Step closer and start with:
Barbed Trap - Stampede - Barswap - Deadric Prey - Force Pulse/Crushing Shock Spam in Combination with Crystal Fragment Proc. Place the Greater Storm Atronarch shortly before 170 Ulti Points otherwise you will be stuck in Overload! Drop Hurricane at around 10%, keep everything else up until the END!
