Hey gang, couple comments since this is the video that keeps getting traction somehow. I made this build many patches ago and the game updates frequently so as many of you have pointed out not all the info is accurate anymore. Please keep that in mind before commenting. Secondly the Armor set is the Deadlands quest set, the Oblivion Explorer's garb. Thanks for watching!
AWW, a trip down memory lane...this build reminds me of why I got into ESO. Started as a wood elf gatherer, and turned into a motif hunter, and now I'm a WW learning to be an AP gatherer...
I personally love builds like this. It’s what really got me into MMOs early on. Just searching for crazy builds for the “farmers” out there. Def looking forward to more builds like this
*Other player gathering mats* Ok, let's get the harvest node endeavor out of the way! 🙂 *Walks into Bal Foyen and stops at the first node. Before the player can interact with the node they see a black blur for one frame and all that sits in front of them is an empty spot with only a discarded skooma botlle and the words "Smoke Skooma and Worship Daedra" written in the dirt.* Awesome video! This was an epic harvester build, looks like I know what my next character will be. 😁
@@OldSaltySean1 I'd say so like you said during double resource node events this becomes a money machine! The last time I seen a kahjiit move this quick he was searching for calipers! 😏
I'd never level a character for something like this but you definitely don't have to. None of these things require a specialized character other than having a khajiit and/or a nightblade. You can probably avoid all possible detection with either one with a small tweak.
@@ReasonableRadio To each their own, I like taking the time for an optimized character that I dont need to change anything on when I pop on, especially when leveling to 50 is such a minuscule time investment in the late game.
doing something similar in 2024. Concealed weapon now gives minor expedition and adept rider set gives major expedition so that'll be 45% right there. I wasn't focusing on the sneak aspect so I'm not sure how accurate that info still is but yeah
Been running this for years! Can’t live without it. The things I had to add were the Antiquarian skill lines. The passive that highlights chests is just too juicy to pass up. It was a major PITA to grind those skill lines on yet another toon, though. Never miss a chest again, especially in dungeons.
A great addition, I have it on my main but I dont know if I'm willing to go through that grind again on another character, but def worth the investment if you do!
Gear: NightBlade Khajit-Feline Ambush with cutpurse passive Become a vampire(darkstalker passive) Guild hub-steed mundus stone put divine on every slottable gear ring of the wild hunt(need greymoor) vesture of darloc brae(northern elswyr) other set-jailbreaker slot-concealed weapon any other slot skill(stamina) optional(Locksmith and lightfingers) all points into stamina craft-plentiful harvest, master gatherer, and treasure hunter and steeds blessing
I do enjoy a good Wild Hunt/Night Terror/Darloc Brae/NME with Steed Khajiit NB thief build. For pure harvesting, I vote Wood Elf with Wild Hunt/Adept Rider/Jailbreaker with Steed. My Redguard mains run Wild Hunt/Adept Rider/Twice Born Star/Magma and Oakensoul/Night's Silence/NME. Highly recommend Adept Rider and Wild Hunt on your various toons' overland builds.... become the speed....
I use a similar setup for the ultimate thief build. I stack multiple Reduce Detection Distance set bonuses and can pretty much sprint past detection mobs.
I've played ESO for a few months now and I love hoarding practically everything. So watching this made me cringe since I now realize how badly I have built my character ;-; I might start from scratch and follow your guide so I can have a better experience :)
@@jonathanrosten5995 Never watched him before I started making content, but I get that comment a lot and can definitely see it. Not complaining, he makes good stuff.
I like to relax and gather stuff so im gonna do this build. So now in 2023 what would you change on this build to make it on par with all the changes ? Also noticed we are in the same guild but idk if you are active on the discord so ill ask you here 😅
@@OldSaltySean1 no actually im not to skilled at eso so i dont kno if theres actual vids but all the ones i watch is people complaining about the game i really enjoy, kinda sucks yo. But fr man you never fail to make me laugh keep it up!
Hi, cool video! Thanks. Can you tell me what addons you use for normal gathering? What is this one that shows the nodes from far away with different colors?
@@wildslife1 Make sure you have any of the libs downloaded it requires, it should say in the mod section what files are missing. I'd also recommend using Minion as your mod manager if you aren't already
@@OldSaltySean1 i have done that all. And there is no missing lib. But i still cant See any nodes in the map, Compass or 3d... :( is there a guide for that addon?
Is it possible to make a character like this to be the farmer/crafter to my other characters? or do i need to do the content to get all the mats? I wanna focus my main into do the content and have another character to do all the farming and crafting... is that possible?
It's possible but I wouldn't recommend it. The quality of the items you find out in the world depends on your character level, so you're better off having your main also picking up whatever they find while they're out adventuring. Leveling a side character who's the actual crafter and has a build that makes things easier to gather like this is fine but it's also recommended to get your main characters basic crafting stats higher so they can take advantage of any modes they find out in the field.
Heyya, I dont play ESO much anymore so I'm not sure of optimal alternatives right now. That said the build would function just fine without the PVP skills. But also the PVP skills take almost no time at all to grind out, I'd bite the bullet and just grab it, but if it's really a no go situation you should be just fine without it =)
I have no idea how viable it is in modern day, I made it well over a year ago and I haven't played in ages so I cant comment if it's still viable or not
Is there an update for this build? Just noticed that CW gives minor expedition now instead of the 25% speed buff. This nullifies the need for a full set of Jailbreaker
I have a question. I understand the part where your time is reduced tremendously when farming because of the way you craft cp points are setup, but what I don't understand is how is it that you don't have to press a button to pick up the mats? is it an add on that let's you auto loot nodes ? or does that come with the way your craft points are set up?
@@OldSaltySean1 that’s all good man. It’s nice that you did once upon a time. It may be old but I’m sure they work still mostly. I’ll definitely be back.
A few people have said this to me in the past, I never watched that much of his content but I always take it as a compliment as it seems like hes doing well currently 😅
Well, guess someones gotta be that farmer...yet honestly it IS the least exciting form of gaming for most. Everyone is unique though. Yet the height of PvX often goes like this. Solo, PvE, PvP
WARNING! LONG READ AHEAD! How to adapt this to combat. Step 1: Exchange Jailbreaker for Adept Rider (This is necessary anyway since JB and Concealed Weapon no longer stack) Step 2: Exchange Treasure Hunter Champion Slot for Steed’s Blessing (so you stay speed capped even in combat) Step 3: Warfare CP: Deadly Aim, Master-At-Arms, Fighting Finesse, Untamed Aggression. Step 4: Fitness CP: Survival Instincts, Sustained By Suffering, Slippery, Celerity (Celerity specifically is important for speed because of next step) Step 5: Exchange Steed Stone for Shadow Stone. You won’t need it due to the speed passives you just slotted, and the Shadow’s Damage is necessary. Make sure you also grab the Hasty CP and put Swift on your Jewelry just in case. Step 6: Front Bar: Adept Rider Bow: Crushing Weapon, Concealed Weapon, Impale, Silver Shards, Merciless Resolve, Soul Tether. Step 7: Back Bar: Adept Rider Greatsword: Race Against Time, Rally, Concealed Weapon, Shadowy Disguise, Resolving Vigor, Swarming Scion. Step 8: Add Max Stamina Enchantment to all armor, but Add Max Magicka on one piece. Step 9: Add Stamina Regen Enchantments to Jewelry, but Add Magicka Regen Enchantment to one piece. Step 10: Food: Lava Foot Soup And Saltrice for max stamina Step 11: Use a ton of Restore Health potions. You’re gonna need them. Step 12: Always be Stage 3 Vampire. Make sure you always use Rally and Race Against Time before attacking your target and always start the attack by using Shadowy Disguise for the damage buff, then Crushing Weapon for the light attack power. With any luck, you’ll do enough damage on that first attack that Silver Shards gets them low enough for Impale to end it since it does more damage to people under 20% HP. If not, Shadowy Disguise and RUN! You can also Merciless Resolve if the ability is ready. Ok, long read over.
Unfortunately I don't play the game anymore, but you should be able to get everything you need from the wiki! Feel free to ask questions too if needed!
I love building castles and housing so... to each their own. ESO is packed full of players. It's a great game. My only problem with ESO is the limited character creator. I'd like black hair on altmers. And the models in general could use an update. Especially the male elves and humans. All hideous. Bretons have some vaguely normal looking guys. The eyebrows in ESO are SO bad across all genders and races. I have no idea why. Character creation aside... the game is perfect. I don't know what anyone would complain about. Group gameplay is the best I've ever seen and events are packed full, engaging, and fun.
You just need to unlock nodes leading up to it. You'll get your first 300 CP super quickly. You also dont need to complete a node, just get enough to get the first tier of a node and you can get the next one.
No worries! And you could certainly use it! We actually hit the movement speed cap with the minor expedition so I use Jailbreaker for the stamina bonus to be a bit more effective in combat but adept rider will work too!
Concealed weapon now gives minor expedition so jailbreaker is less optimal, this build came out before that change I think. Just replace with adept rider.
