So I'm attempting to recreate this build, I just need to level up some of the skills because I never used them before. So, looking at the video, you gotta be invisible to hide and get the damage buff, then you pop proximity detonation and a little before the one second mark you use razor caltrops and the ult to nuke everyone
Not biffing ults. In crazy lag, which was the case in most of these clips, you have to trust your timing and hit your ult right after you proc DC. Visually it looks like you're ulting way too early but what you see on your screen and what the server is detecting are two completely different things. The stacks wouldn't be popping if the dawnbreaker wasn't hitting
I was trying to get it to work in MidyearMayhem, with limited success - but rewatching your videos I realized that I was playing it wrong, and the directionality of the Dawnbreaker plays into your burst - I tend to try and get in the middle, so that ST hits everyone, but this seems to make it more likely you'll not try and get in the middle (and die).
What weapon enchant should I use if I am running a lightning staff? Going to try with a slimecraw helm and sharpened staff since that is what I have on hand but will transmute the staff if it doesn't work.
That should work fine. More pen slightly less crit. I ran a berserker enchantment (weapon/spell damage) on my lightning staff. Just gotta try to weave a light attack between the caltrops and dawnbreaker to proc it which is why I almost never bother when it gets really laggy
It's slightly less damage than dual wield but not by a lot for this set up. You have to use a precise lightning though or your crit chance will be too low for the shadow to be worth it
Apparently I'm doing something wrong. I launch the skills one by one, and the players are not gathered in one place and therefore I can't do anything :(
The only advice I can give you is trying your best to pay attention to other players CC immunity. It can be pretty challenging but what you are mainly looking for is if a group of players have been recently pulled by someone else's dark convergence. If you see they have been pulled very recently then you will want to try to wait before attempting to pull them with your DC. Outside of that, players have access to immovable pots and escapist poisons as well as simply being able to block the DC pull. Typically the best time to use dark convergence is when a group of players are focused on fighting other players or ideally when they are smacking a tank. If they are focused on fighting they are typically less likely to react to a dark convergence pull quickly, but because of all these downsides with dark convergence in the current patch/meta, I much prefer just running a tether bomb variation using either no pull set or rush of agony. Those types of builds tend to have a higher success rate currently. Sorry for the novel lol, just wanted to give some good info on why this build may not perform optimally in the current state of the game compared to when the video was made
Yessss! Thank you for this one-bar version! I'm hoping to have time to put it together this weekend and begin the process of failing a million times before hopefully getting a successful bomb in :)
Thank you for covering the build slowly enough to be able to pause and look at things. A lot of build videos move so fast you can hardly follow them at all.
If you don't run daggers your crit chance will be very low and then axes won't give you much benefit. And daggers with the shadow is much better than axes with the thief. You could run double precise axes tho and it would likely be good too
Hmm weird. It sounds fine on speakers but with headphones it is definitely very compressed. I'm not sure why it did that but I will double check before future uploads since this isn't the first time this has happened. Thanks for letting me know 👍
