@@PinkWytchBytch don't feel guilty, and honestly it applies to real life to. The race of homosapians are dicks and destructive, hits pretty deep when you think about it irl.
@Mortem Invictus In all fairness, their policy of slavery largely arose after the men had migrated into Cyrodiil, at which point the Nords had already committed a genocide against the Ayleids. Furthermore, the Ayleids who still worshipped the Aedra and sided with the Alessian Revolt were later brought unto annihilation by the Alessian Order, who killed or exiled them wherever they found them. There is quite literally zero reason for mer to ever trust men, they have demonstrated pretty consistently that if you open the door they'll take the whole house.
@@sariagrey1844 Actually Dunmer are the worst, Nords are just stupids and 30% of them are racist. Thalmor (government) ARE elitist and sometimes racist, yeah, but the race Altmer is just egocentric. Tiber Septim do worst things in his life and they have reasons to hate him. And Pellinal was the most racist dude in TES history and the Alessian Order too.
@@wertzuuu1788 **Ackshuallly**, it was Trinimac who tore his chest and later he died on his own in the arms of Azura. No one delt a killing blow to him.
••I’ve seen some mistakes on the lyrics and decided to correct them for those who want to do karaoke! Listen 'round, I've a warning to sound, About an overgrown weed. I don't mean to forebode, but this little ode, Is a lesson you best heed. Now our story unfolds, upon a pitiful mold, Was made to thrive on rot. This unsightly staph, was a trickster's last laugh, Long after his battle was fought. The Sundering, if you were wondering, When the heaven dropped out of the sky. They hit with a thud, and gave birth to the mud, Making up this mortal sty. It was a hell of a mess, but I digress, My story's about the swine. What took root in this land, were seeds called Man, That sprung up like fungus from grime. Their lives may be short, and lacking import, But keep an eye to their blundering. It's tempting to jest, about this simple pest, That’s until you've seen their plundering. For when Men bound, to the Doom Drum's sound, You'll learn what the Corpse-God wrought. Trinimac didn't know, with his final blow, Just how badly he'd been caught I don’t mean to forebode, but this little ode, Is a lesson you best heed.
And this is why ES has my favorite portrayal of the human race. We even get our own villain song. Better or worse than the Dong Zhuo song in Total War? You decide.
And the Nords never did anything racist, either, like, say, committing genocide against a bunch of elves, the elves' distrust and hatred of man totally comes from absolutely nowhere. (Not an excuse for what the Altmer did, especially giving what happened in the Fourth Age, but, like, every society in The Elder Scrolls is at least some form of racist)
Mer are the one who should rule. Tiber Septim is a false good that should not be worshipped. If I were an altmer I would also be spiteful to the lesser mankind, thinking it is justified to force others into a petty Empire for the benefit of men. Mer stand above men in magic and live way longer. Tiber Septim is a false god who should not be worshipped at all. He killed many mer lives for the sake to expand his petty empire and make it seem insignificant foolish humans grew in strength, while in reality they used dwemer construct to actually defeat the Altmer. The Thalmor have every right to ban worship of the false god. In fact he is a murderous anti-elven demon. All mer should unite under one banner, making a new Aldmeri Dominion and wipe this petty mankind of their rightful lands!
I mean, the humans of TES and Dark Souls are the only fantasy portrayals of humans that I consider worthy to be called people. All other portrayals? Nothing but prey and cattle. Why? Because the way that TES and Dark Souls portray humans is closer to how other lesser fantasy lore portray demons and the like, particularly in the elven creation myth, Heart of the World, with lines, like "Lorkhan made armies out of the weakest souls and named them Men, and they brought Sithis (chaos) into every quarter." and "hordes of Men" and my personal favorite "The Men dragged Lorkhan's body away and swore blood vengeance on the heirs of Auriel for all time."
