I have thought about what you said regarding the lack of initiation for years. It is always on my mind. I was just lamenting the situation with my wife a couple of nights ago. I firmly believe that it is the one thing that we must, as men, re-capture in order to develop good men.
When I hear the word “esoteric”, I think the following: 1). Exeter 2) Isa (Jesus) + Ter (terra) 3). Ester/Aester When I hear occult to mean hidden, I find it odd because things of the ocular are of the eyes which mean they’re visible. But not all vision is seen with the eyes. Sometimes vision is seen through the Imagination. What is hidden can be visible when hidden in plain sight. It’s a vision that requires discernment to recognize the subtle differences & nuance (e.g. ocul vs occul). Lastly, freemasonry brings to mind a Sabbath. A space of mind where one is free from work but labors to bring forth creation & life thru love, the phi/Phy’s (philosophy, physics, etc).
I told a Freemason online one day they were all devil worshippers. He said no there was lots of Christain principles involved in Freemasonry. I said what about the pentagram on the womens buildings? Thats not Christain at all! He said thats not a pentagram but the eastern star. And then he said it represented the star of Bethlehem that led the wise men to the birth of Christ who was king of kings and was God in the flesh born of a virgin. I asked him ok, think about it. Why did Freemasons build a pentagram into the streets of washington DC pointing to the whitehouse then? To say the president is God? His answer was he was either in too shallow or i was in too deep. Also, DC is built by Freemasons and plotted out on land ceded by Virginia and Maryland giving you the whitehouse right out of the virgin mary. Initiations and oaths go all the way back to the fallen angels. They all took an oath that nobody would back out from taking a human wife. That was the first meeting in the bible was a bunch of angels having an initiation into a new life and new loyalty to each other over loyalty to their creator. They all took an oath to do it together.
The comparison of an auto mechanic and a person that operates in the metaphysical is a ridiculous comparison. Why do you practice in that medium ? What is the gain?
