GARY HOLT GH-SV INFO & SPECS: www.espguitars... At the 2023 NAMM Show, we got to hang out with Gary Holt for the introduction of his new LTD Signature Series guitar, the GH-SV.
Please people don't buy this guitar. We need to send ESP the message that 2300$ for an Ltd is unacceptable period. If they sell it, it's gonna mean to them that it's okay to sell Ltd for these prices and next year you'll see these prices everywhere for MIK or MII guitars. ESP guitars please note: THIS. IS. NOT. OKAY.
Dear ESP what in the actual frig on the price? Obviously you know that the majority of your consumers are definitely thinking this is way over priced ... it's an ltd and your entire consumer base knows ltd to be more budget friendly , almost 2 and half grand isn't budget friendly at all, can you please address and mine and everybody's frustration with your ridiculous pricing? Please reply back to me with a comment and show your consumers you care and are listening. Cuz believe I'm the type of customer you don't want to lose. I buy more than 10 guitars a year. So yeah. Response please? Thanks
@@gerarddoyle9458 It will still be too high. I love the new finish on the Sparrowhawk and that's too much @$1800 for an Indonesian/Korean LTD with a tunamatic. Even the pickups are basically the same price as Duncans. If these LTD's were made in Japan like the LTD Elites were, then maybe.
I'll say it again ESP...where is the red star Jeff Hanneman? Why can't I see that anywhere? We are a few days away from the 10th anniversary of his passing....maybe, just maybe the promised guitar could have been shown at NAMM....no? Also, love Holt and Exodus but $2300 for an LTD? FO
1999 is the price…I have no problem buying it at that price it has stainless steel frets. It’s an artist model, and generally all these guitars are just getting more expensive. This is actually more custom than most signature. Models are.
Over 3k CAD for a guitar you probably won't even be able to buy for another year at least, and even then will be sold out everywhere for the following year. Looks cool though!
R means reverse? In a car it does but on your signature guitar. It means the front pickup splits into a single, I can't believe he doesn't know how to work his own guitar. I have a Gary holt signature black and red.
Gary is 100% correct. It splits the pickup with the REVERSE positioning of the single coil relative to EMG's standard so the single coil output is the side that's closest to the neck.
@@espguitarsusa well that isn't what I was told when I bought the original Gh-600 and how it was it was in the description. So somebody is kinda full of it, and in that interview he straight up comes off like he doesn't know. I guess whatever it does sounds good. I changed my original post to not sound so nasty, but maybe some of you and guitar shops have a little communication breakdown
@@JoeBlack1108 Check out EMG's description, which matches what Gary is saying here. The push-pull switch does indeed engage a single-coil mode, but the R is for "reverse" in regard to the positioning of the single coil. www.emgpickups.com/89r.html
@@espguitarsusa i didn't say you had the wrong description, the guitar store i bought it from and that was 2 years ago, honestly didn't know it was Gary Holt signature, just thought it was very cool colors and reminded me of a chevelle I had.
