What bluetooth version , class/profile is used for communication? For example, I've have a few USB bluetooth dongles (CP210X, HC-05, etc) but they can't seem to talk RXCOMM/UART to my android running the "Serial Bluetooth Terminal" app. I've read to Bluetooth like a UART, the chip must support the (older) BT-Classic profile (SPP)? I haven't tried getting these dongles to talk to an ESP32-C3.
