Thanks for your feedback! Glad that it was helpful. I have made a video where I have exchanged data from cloud server. You can watch part 3 of this series to see how to interface Blynk plaform with this setup

7:34 OLED_RESET; is extra Pin to reset the OLED. But you have no Reset pin. 7:49 Wire.begin(2,0); setup I2C to GPI2 = D4 = SDA , GPI0 = D3 = SCL

If you first program the esp01 with a blank OTA firmware (over-the-air) you won't need to physically connect it to your computer to develop, edit and upload. You can just send the new firmware over the air.

That's a great suggestion! I see how this can be useful in minimising the hardware requirements. Would be great if you could share any article/video on how to implement this OTA feature. Thanks!

@Calvin Damon i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.

I'm not sure about your schematic. VBUS isn't connected to the input of the regulator and pins 1 & 2 of the four pin header are connected together shorting GPIO0 and GPIO2. Your assertion that the ESP8266 works at 5 Volts may be true for you, but in general this is not true. It should ONLY be run at 3.3 Volts. While the Adafruit OLED does have an onboard 3.3 Volt regulator and appropriate level-shifting this is not generally true of all display modules.

Yes I agree upon what you said about mismatch of voltage levels. That being said I would highly recommend you to watch one of my previous build which is making a development board for the ESP8266: I've named it as ESP-O-One. The main circuit diagram is comprehensively described there and the ESP is powered from 3.3volts.

Can you please give manufacture you use for the ESP8266-01 BOARD? Great Video! Would this ESP8266-01 WORK WITH Raspberry Pi Pico too? M
