The entire mainstream press is against him down here, either captured or just disgustingly ran by private interests and mafia. Whether it is bad faith headlines in social media and television, constructed narratives, subtexts, outright lies etc. it is very blatant, and yet it is all that's being circulated, so people of the common are affected anyway
We are proud of our president. He alone is fighting the highest level of corruption we have here in Colombia, bankers and companies own the press and pretty much the entire country, Petro has fake news attacking him 24/7, making up stories and using whatever they can find to destroy his image and twist peoples minds, and despite all that, we Colombians are starting to wake up and understand how this machinery works. It is really the extreme right-wing (Uribe, Pastrana, Gaviria, etc...) that has always governed Colombia and kept it in misery. Only now with Petro have things begun to change, especially in the territories forgotten by the state and where violence still abounds.
All is the blame of the US. It's the world fight against the drugs. Not the people harboring terrorists. Of course, a lot of people have no choice but to cultivate coca, after all they are modern slaves of the terrorists.

Muy orgullosa de que el presidente de mi país esté alzando su voz por el bienestar de nuestro planeta. Es hora de que sin importar ideologías políticas e intereses personales, entendamos el trasfondo del problema no sólo del tráfico ilegal de las drogas si no también el del consumismo. Bravo y ojalá, sensatamente, cale en los pueblos y sus gobernantes.
