It really fits this guy well because when ever listened to it it gave me the impression that I was running away from him in the jungle and he is just pulverizing throw everything in his way

He's the lord of the great forest in frontier lore after kicking kushala's butt, so the theme fits him right

Well you've been fighting one of them for years. You know that lava plesioth? He's from frontier. He's just been a returning monster since his introduction in gen 2

The teams that worked on both Frontier and the other one were mainly one in the same and so they gave both games the same monsters, Lavasioth and Hypnocatrice(probably spelled those wrong). Therefore Espinas is really the first Frontier monster that has gotten into a mainline game through means that weren’t necessary to save time and actually to just add a cool Frontier monster in. Sorry if I suck at writing.

Can confirm. Just fought it for the 1st time, and DEAR GOD is it terrifying. It starts and just keeps going never giving you a break, never a time to heal, never a pause in its assault. This theme compliments it so well. It really makes you think you should've just let them be.

IMO this theme best describes running from his Diablos charge. Because man that attack hits like a damn truck and he loves to sit in narrow areas when you hunt him. I just wish that they made his dual blades poison paralysis. Would have been cool to see a double ailment dual blade set.

I think we have some possible beasts, like Dyuragaua, Berukyurosu, Akura, Pariapuria or Gurenzeburu (and some other). They're not too frontier-like, so they have lot of chances to come in mainline (not in MH6 but in the next Team 2 game)

Well given that Espinas is basically the flagship of frontier I wouldn't be surprised

@@jackattack1319 it is. I only found out recently myself. It's kinda the reason why it took so long for us to get frontier monsters. Frontier players where unhappy about what they thought where exclusive monsters coming to the mainline games, given how frontier was a subscription based game.

I had such a hard time with Espinas

I oneshot him; he's alot like fighting a plesioth; just get up in that bewty and block/dodge the spins and hipchecks. He's so damn tall and he doesn't have alot of moves to hit right in front of his own fucking face. Idk, I could just be a no lifer but this was how I felt I dealt with him in hindsight.

@@troiaofficial2818 maybe it was easy because of the weapon you were playing. I play charge blade and can hit my counters and such pretty consistently. Made it to Gore magala in high rank valstrax gear lol.

I'm just happy that I get to hunt Espinas. The fight is very exciting when the monster gets warmed up.

@@The_Mewster69 I played Frontier before Sunbreak, and after seeing Espinas on the Trailer and played the Demo, I could smell that the Frontier team was on this… xD Looking at the full game, it’s so obvious now. Just fight Pukei-Pukei on G-Rank, that really IS on crack.

@@badasstoad9419 Yeah Sunbreak caught me off guard tbh. I was expecting a higher difficulty from base Rise but nothing could have prepared me for what was MR Royal Ludroth. I deadass walked into this game thinking it’d steamroll through all of G Rank up until endgame like I did with iceborne but nope that wasn’t the case. Motherfucking Shogun licked me for a bit and I gotta say…. I’m glad he did lol.

You must be using at least one palico. The game seems to assign a 50/50 chance to which buddy gets ‘assigned’ to hit you. You better hope it’s not a palico, because they usually prioritize other things over their new task. Palamutes tend to rush to your side like good boys and girls.

It wasn't his theme. It was the Great Forest high rank theme in Frontier back in the day. It's like if Lagiacrus got the Deserted Isle theme from Tri as his theme, or how often times when Rathalos was introduced you'd hear the Forest and Hills (Verdent Forest if you played generations) theme play: this wasn't mine, but I'm making it mine. It still fits Espinas very well.

espinas was supposed to be also in mhfu but frontier players weren't happy abt that, to they only put hypno and lava, now that frontier is dead bringing espinas was really easy

It's not just Nostalgia, the theme is amazing in general. I heard it for the first time yesterday and it easily became one of my favorites.

It's stressful and atmospheric, I love it

I was shaking by the end of his fight. I play with the music louder than sfx so stress was to the MAX

Probably the fast paced, intense music, combined with his charges and general flailing about. Add on that he is the frontier flagship and yeah, stress overload

Its the combination of his triple element fire ball attacks with his triple charge attack combined with the theme that makes him a super intense fight

@@johncronk8867 he's refering to "Akura Vashimu" and it's variations, a scorpion-esque monster I would assume is a temnoceran, similar to rakna-kadaki, that had the wonkiest tail cutting sequence that required 2-3 people if you weren't using tonfas. its blood type would change, and you could only do the tail cutting sequence if it was a specific color (I think it was blue or white). When I say tail cutting "sequence", I mean it was like a puzzle, starting with (If I remember this correctly) breaking one claw with sever, then blunt, breaking his face, doing the same with the other claw, breaking his face again, then severing his tail, and after all that, he can eat his tail out of spite, preventing you from carving. And if I remember correctly, he was immune to almost every element and ailment under the sun.
