Believe one reason President of Oregon agreed let them film there was because ten years earlier, they were approached to film another movie and turned it down. That film was called The Graduate. He regretted it deeply and when opportunity came again, he wouldn’t make same mistake and said yes.
We see Neidermayer, Eric "Otter" Stratton, Ivan Reitman, Barbara "Babs", "D-Day" Daniel S. Day. We miss Bluto, Flounder Dorfman and Dean Vernon Wormer!
I was first introduced to Karen Allen when I saw Animal House. Hmm.. I wonder what other movie she was in? I think it had to do with some guy named Jones.
Never a better documentary made about life on a college campus in 1962. I've made it a point to visit almost every set location used for this educational piece of art, including the Dexter Lake Club and the route used for the parade scene, two of the 3 scenes not shot on the University of Oregon campus. I have bonded. Can I have 10,000 marbles please?
Gee that food fight scene is pretty hard to beat as the best scene in the movie especially the part when Bluto is getting his food from the food canteen but Bluto at the top of the ladder spying into the female boarding house and has to shift the ladder from one window to the next window is classic! Belushi's facial expressions is 2nd to none other than Mr Bean!
We use dialogue from animal House daily.esoecially you f d up you trusted me Or fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life. I saw animal House in 1979 on holiday in Sydney Australia and dozens of times since. It will never be forgotten
The difference is, in todays world, the decision would have to be made by committee, not a single person. All committees have at least one coward, so the film wouldn't have stood a chance.
