I loosely go into detail about the Franchise Mode in 2K5. I've recently been reading how well done the 2K series is compared to Madden and I wanted to show what it all entails about. 16:05 - Weekly Preparations #football #franchise #espn
I usually turn weekly preparation on when I'm actually playing the franchise and not simulating the seasons. Those old guides for it on GameFAQs still work for it. I turn off Preseason games for the first season sometimes if i just don't care for the preseason in the franchise but turn it back on immediately so it doesn't simulate future preseasons. To turn injuries off, you just go to the difficulty sliders options and turn the slider all the way down.
Also, it freaking SUCKS that when you use a created team in Franchise mode (or any other mode for that matter) you never get to see their Offense, Defense, and Overall rating. So you'll never see how good (or bad) your team is unless you look at your roster and player ratings.
Free agency is hit or miss. I've had times where I was at the top of a guy's list and he'll either drop me or just sign with someone else but there's a glitch where you can sign anyone in free agency for 1k no matter the length.
The Draft is busted since the CPU pretty much only takes HBs, Ts, Gs, and DEs until they're gone in the 1st and early 2nd round. So if you need any of those positions you better have a 1st round pick and a high one at that.
Another note, on sliders the gameplay will be different depending on what preset the sliders originated from. You could have 2 exact same custom sliders that started from Rookie and Legend and it'd play differently.
