Marcus Satterfield’s press conference today was rough. Beyond the yards per play thing, do you think we’ll actually run the ball?! CarrikerChronicles.com
Joey Galloway was a exceptional player and he carried it right into as an analyst. There’s no reason to panic, it takes time to rebuild. These teams that look like they rebuild in a few months will die out just as fast.
We have to remember Curt Cignetti brought with him veteran players that knew his system. Plus he brought his OC & DC with him from James Madison as well. Last, i think the defense overlooked Indiana thinking its the usual Indiana and saw how they played against Northwestern.
Oh gee. I guess we should just forfeit the rest of the games because you've given up. Probably why nobody knows you for anything. If you want to give up on something. Give up on commenting
The B1G is a completely different animal than temples and Baylor’s old conferences. It’s much much much more difficult to build up a consistent winning program in the B1G. Especially at Nebraska.? Am I the only one who feels that way?
1. If Raiola is hurt or has multiple turnovers in a blowout loss, put Haarberg in for some juice 2. Satterfield revealed he doesn’t call enough run plays, but it’s how he prepares the guys pregame that’s lacking 3. I’m in limbo until I see new information
I know people get impatient, they'll look at teams like Indiana and they'll say see they had immediate success we can too.. Well ya, we could if we get a lightning in a bottle chance, which could have but didn't happen with Frost and Riley.. because it doesn't hardly EVER happen like it its happening at Indiana. We have to give Rhule 5...6..7 years and stick with a guy because this changing the entire thing over every 3-4 years is Not Working and its just setting us back every time..
Do u honestly think if we kept Frost around for another year or two things would get turned around? No. Rhules team so far this season has regressed ever since Illinois. It is week 9 and our OC is now talking about establishing a run game. We can’t do anything now but Rhule won’t be around after next year
@@Brett_Nebraska Based on what i’m seeing I don’t think so. The reason I say this is bc the team is regressing each week. That’s a sign of very bad coaching. Also I’m worried Rhule is going to hang on to his buddies on offense for much longer than he should. If Satterfield still has a job after this season we’re in a lot of trouble.
We have a lot to look forward to. If social media existed when T.O. was the coach, he wouldn't have lasted 5 years. Let's cut Rhule and the entire team some slack. Give him and them some time to fix our culture and develop dominance.
@@NKA0713 People like Rhule. He’ll get more of a pass with the Pollyanna sheep in the NU fanbase. Pitchforks will come out if he doesn’t shed some of his crappy hires. Sattrrfield and Foley are gone as they should be. You can’t go a whole season with 0 special teams 0 run game and half ass play calling. Rhule needs some home run assistant hires or it’s his ass next. Respectfully of course.🤣
Way too early to panic. #1 Ed Foley should be fired! That was obvious a couple weeks ago, from ur gunners on a punt coverage being in the end zone (nothing happens in the back of the end zone on put coverage), not having a kicker when the whole offseason was “chasing 3”. Could have easily got another kicker in the portal like many big 10 schools did. And the first kickoff return NU had……all Barney had to do was nothing. Do nothing and that ball is on the 25 maybe 35, not our own 1 yard line. That’s just things easy to see week in and week out. And another thing I’ve seen is not letting mistakes snowball. The snowball starts rolling down hill and we can’t figure out how to stop the bleeding. Love the show keep it up
My biggest fear is that we're going to have a game so late I can't stay awake to watch. USC Rutgers Friday 10pm WTF!?!?!? That's 11pm for Rutgers fans. Complete BS!
Everything needs to be turned around. They're going to need to do something different, you can't keep doing what we've been doing if there's any hope for this season or the next season. both losses we've had were entirely on the coaching staff imo, you can't just tell the players to play better or something if it wasn't their fault, that won't work against our coming opponents. You've actually got to change something drastically with what the coaches are doing, whether it's the schemes, replacing/ demoting staff members, bringing experts in to help them. I think Rhule's a good coach but I don't think he's hungry because he's had great success and money before he came here and that's the difference between a coach like Rhule who has a good record and Indiana's coach who also had a great record, except he doesn't have as much money as Rhule so he's still hungry. If Rhule really wants to have success here, which is to be determined whether or not he does, he's got to stop treating this job like it's just a paycheck and a way to give coaching jobs to his friends and he's got to make the changes necessary even if that means holding his friends on his staff accountable and he's got to do it soon, don't wait until the last minute like frost did when he replaced his OC and by that time it was already too late and he was on his way out the door before anything had a chance to take effect.
Idk the behind the scenes things going on. But in this world of responsibility thinking, if we're not scoring a BARE MININMUM of 25 points, that goes to the OC. If Rhule doesn't address this issue with Sat. Then it's on Rhule. My only problem with Rhule is clock management. Imho if your losing in the first half, you better not see any unused times out on the board. Cuz if you don't use them, how hard are you really trying. I'm thinking Granstad, or Harrberg should start against against Ohio St. Dylan is banged up and needs to heal. Not only that but be able to watch a game through the eyes of coaches and fans. I'm a Rhule fan, and believe Dylan is for real. I'd say use the transfer portal and go buy us an O-Line. No matter the cost. Still develope who we have and all recruits. But get the kid confident and healthy again. Oh yeah, we could use an Elite RB as well. Other than that, everything is awesome😂
Dana Holgerson for OC on Line 3 please.... and I'm not real keen on the 3 to 4 or 5 years time frame... Indiana did it in less than one year. Rhule is flat-out not getting it done right now
Rhule should've gotten rid of most of the team his first year. Bring in some talent and mold them to your standards. Frost screwed these players up, bad. He needs fresh players who don't have a crazy weird mentality like Frost's players. Sad but true.
@@judysmall8238 they are big boy coaches at what used to be a big boy school. They make a sickening amount of $$$. it’s on their watch now. I’m sure they appreciate the excuses though.
Why doesn't the NU AD hire you as a coach?? It was a great white board plays maybe Rhule was watching Sunday show. Maybe he could pick up so of your ideas...
Rhule hired two guys to run the team…. Satterfield and White. Sometimes they’re pretty good, sometimes they look like bad high school coaches. I wonder how much is due to Rhule’s coaching or if he’s just the CEO? Frankly, I’d rather have Solich as OC.
NIL just sped up whose next mentality because player rosters are going to change a lot more year to year. Next. Wonder if we can poach Cignetti from I U.
My 1yo son threw an egg at me tonight! Was fast for a 1yo! I 3 tipped it, caught it as my 10YO tackled me. It broke when I took it to the pan! I looked at the wife: why can't Nebraska play like that? I love Dylan but sometimes heat is required on a ball. And our D knows the damn scheme, fill the damn gaps! We back to Riley's first year. Wake up boys! Create your own future!
I hit it when they fired Solich. Bob Devaney named Coach Osborne. Tom Osborne named Solich. We hired an AD from Miami, so what did we think would happen?
And another note. Whoever is panicking saying coach Rhule needs to go…..those people have no clue about college football or football in general. Then who is the NU savior????? Cuz Tom Osbourne isn’t walking throw those doors and if u could wish, the game is totally different now days. People saying coach Rhule needs to go r the ones who r stuck in the 90s days. Sorry that level of dominance will probably never exist again for any program in college football with the NIL. So be careful what u wish for
Not even close. Really doubt it changes much for anyone inside the building. Doesn't change anything for me. If you don't like it you can always follow Iowa.
I said this earlier, fat, out muscled, out classed Buster Douglas beat the hell out unbeatable iron Mike Tyson, no one would have thunk it, until it happened, the sky's not falling. GBR!!
Rhule has never turned around a program against elite coaches. He's been out coached and out schemed multiple times in 1.5 years. He can turnaround mid programs. Not buying his success against top tier teams and coaches.
@@DefenderAO until NU fans boycott this crap it will continue. The program is clueless. Lot of people making a ton of $$$ either way. The media keeps dangling the carrot. But next year. But this. But that. Year after year. It’s crazy. It’s likely because NU is in the middle of the Midwest and the only game in town.
So if we go say 10-2 next year with losses against two top ten teams you would be disappointed? I mean give him time, next year we should have double digit wins. Since he's never been more than 3 years at a power five school you need to see what he builds.
When he coached temple, they beat a top 10 Penn St. He ran the gambit in the Big12 with a team that has never been really good. It's Frost's players that have been destroyed mentally, never properly developed and needed to go Rhule's first year. He should've gotten rid of all of Frost's players, brought some talent and mold them to his standards. Satterfield needs to go and a better proven WR coach.
@@Nickeltoe77 Tom Osborne never had a 5 star QB but he turned them into Champions. Nebraska has talented players. Look at their first 5 games. A phantom call cost Nebraska a TD against Illinoise. That game should never have gone to OT. It's up to the coaches to develop their players. I've seen 4 good running backs. The QB needs to run like Fraizer ran. They need to let Raiola run as well as pass or just use Harberg at QB. He's 5 for 5 passing this year and he always picks up 10 to 15 yards running.
