Astugfurullah, this uncle just asked Essam to expose his sins 12:45 He does that a lot with these guests. It's disappointing, because we assume elders are wiser and know the aspect of Deen where you don't expose, or encourage others to expose their sins. I'm getting noisey "cultural uncle" vibes, vs Islamic vibes from him.

First of all humble yourself. South London is a lot more of a peaceful place then it was before because of this uncle. This uncle is responsible for serious akhs, who have murdered on multiple occasions putting their guns down and stopping the beef. He is a driving force in his community, actively working with the youth. What youth are you working with? How many beefs have you squashed? Where is your platform trying to build a bridge between different communities? He asked the question because it gives you an idea of where the brother has come from in jahiliya, on top of that people who do spoken word speak about their past openly to discourage the youth. Also, he openly admitted to doing music in a certain time in his life, you cannot discuss jahiliya without being specific at times, that's why he asked the question.

I'm not getting islamic vibes from you. Who even are you? He is a well known imam, known for being great at what he does and working with brothers on the roads, helping them out. What have you done in your local community to help your sisters to be speaking about another person in such a way?

Exactly how I feel…I get out off when he speaks if I’m honest!!!

@@adzb96 Then leave because nobody wants to hear you speak anymore than you wanna hear him speak.
