The elegant exterior of an ESSE Cooker contains unrivalled power share technology which optimises the flow of energy to the hotplate and ovens offering quicker heat-up times and energy-efficient cooking performance. The insulated ovens are evenly heated from all sides by electrical elements positioned around the oven, this patented ESSE design imparts an even, radiant heat for gentle, delicious baking and roasting.
Since 1854, ESSE Cookers have been handmade in Britain with production moving to ESSE Engineering at the Ouzledale Foundry site in Barnoldswick in 1983. Recent investment in the ESSE production plant has seen the installation of a solar PV system to produce clean energy and the purchase of additional sheet metal laser cutters, and an automatic band saw to improve manufacturing efficiency. The fettling engineers welcome automated surface grinders to improve the integrity and finish of the cast iron hotplates.
