HUGE Essence win! Your full face of make up looked exceptionally pretty today! It looked VERY natural but at the same time stunning. The bronzer especially looked perfect on you, it’s the exact shade for your skin tone in that you get the full effect of a bronzer but you can’t make out the product so it looks completely natural (isn’t that what we’re all looking for in “the perfect” make up product!)
Your comment about bronzer totally nailed it. I hated the entire product category for years, as I couldn't fathom wanting brown smudges on my cheeks - which was how I perceived even pretty flattering, beautifully done, beauty-lighted influencer makeup. Sometimes I still do... There are channels I enjoy whose preference for noticable, in-your-face cheek products is really not to my taste, even though I enjoy other aspects of the channels. Anyway, I have come to realize that the perfect shade and amount of bronzer really can add a great deal to a look, and this video is a perfect example on Jessica.

My pet peeve is when “influencers” put highlighter all over the tip of their nose🙈they all seem to choose the brightest most silver highlighter and they paint the entire tip of their noses (the ONLY time it’s got the slightest chance of looking nice is when it’s done with a very light hand and it’s a tiny bit placed slightly under the tip of the nose) I think they look like the tin man in the Wizard of Oz 🤣
I with you Jess, I’m amazed that Essence has kept their prices the same while still making amazing products. I love the 16 hr powder because it doesn’t look like powder. I wonder if it could be a kosas dupe 🤔
Essence has phenomenal product, tons of them at such affordable price that is mind blowing. On top of the mascaras, blushes, bronzers, glosses and lipstick, some eye shadows (the little palettes for example but then oh, man the melted chrome singles are absolutely amazing!) to just name a few, I also love their nail polishes. They are so affordable, the quality is pretty good and come in so many cool shades. Hard to beat, tbh.
Carmen, I checked those shadow singles out on the Ulta website, but they got really low rating on there. Only 2.5 out of 5. Do you think 🤔 they're really that good? I do usually like their other makeup and the 6 pan eyeshadows. Ulta just had that makeup on sale, so I picked up a few things. So far it's pretty decent.....
The Essence Bronze This Way eyeshadow pallet is one of my daily-drivers for sure. It's amazing how many eyeshadow looks you can get from just those 6 colors! Also, you look gorgeous in this video!

Except for the Kissed by the light powders she used. When it launched it was 2.99 and sold out for a while on Ulta and then now it's 5.99. (I only know because i bought it at 2.99 and made a review saying it has charlotte tilbury vibes. They removed my review.)

Jess i know its not the norm but on your waterline or somewhere try a dark green liner. I have green eyes and got a darker shimmery green liner and i love it. I think it will bring the green in your hazel eyes out more and it's something new for you to play with.
Yes that would be nice to see! I wish she would step out of her box and change up her eye shadow colors/one color. Use more than one. She did mention it awhile back but haven't seen the change.

The essence powder foundation is so so good! I love it all over for evening out my skin tone or even just a light layer to set my concealer / moisturizer or primer. It’s so good

I heard a tip from Stephanie Marie for mascara transfer onto eyelids. Powder your eyelids after you apply the eyeshadow. It really works for me! Every mascara transferred on me and it works so well! You can even lightly powder your eyelashes after mascara. It doesn’t change the color and adds the extra protection.
LOVE the Pretty Natural foundation (alone or paired with the Missha BB cream is beautiful!) and their lash princess. This video is making me want to order so much more from them! 🥰
Your makeup look turned out beautiful and I love one and done shadow looks that’s right up my alley! The nude highlighter is my holy grail too and will always repurchase! You can also use it with a big fluffy brush as use it like the hourglass powders!❤

Thanks for adding the labels(?) for the products in the video. Also, the lighting in your videos for the past year or so has been a lot better than it used to be. Maybe it was my computer, but your videos used to have this blue/grey cast to it. To be clear I was never mad about it haha I'm here for information about makeup and the quality content.

I love the eyebrow gel stuff & I can tell you I've been using one for over 6 months & it hasn't dried up. Also, I had trouble with flaking with various Essence mascaras. I discovered that if you buy them & leave them in a drawer for several months, they are less flaky. It's maybe because they've dried a bit - not sure lol. Emma x

Hi Jessica The last video of yours that I watched, you said you don't use eye primer bc you are not concerned about creases I started using concealer as an eye primer in my twenties. I did it because the sales girl told me it would help my eyeshadow stay on longer, and it certainly does work great! You're fun to watch! Blessings 😅

I have a love/hate relationship with the tinted primer. I like it for no makeup days but on my dry skin, I need a heavy moisturizer underneath it. I also sometimes mix in a tiny bit of Vaseline with it!
I love most of essence products. They are Affordable and work better than some high end makeup products. These expensive palettes aren't happening in my budget lol 🙃 thank you for doin a review on essence
Hi Jess!! Have you tried the Essence Silky Nude in your lower waterline? For me it lasts really well and I use it to lightly outline my upper lip line when wearing a gloss as it blends into my foundation but makes it look crisp. Much easier than using a concealer around my lips 👄
15:38 Panda Eyes is great if you have hooded eyes, because it's super transfer-proof BUT it's pretty wimpy on it's own, so I like to layer it over a volumizing mascara.

I have really watery eyes and i need to dab at my eyes every minute. As can be imagined, mascara is really problematic. What i've found really works for me is using Essence's mascara primer (white and pink packaging), and then the panda eye mascara also from Essence over it. This way, there's volume and length, and absolutely bulletproof! If it works for my waterworks eyes, it should work for everyone. Highly recommend this combination.
I loved this full face of Essence! You look natural and just great! Essence used to have a WONDERFUL glowy primer for a hot minute - Fresh & Fit Awake Primer - that was a dupe for the Hollywood Flawless Filter. (I bought 6 when they discontinued them and am still loving them.) ESSENCE BRING THAT PRIMER BACK!!! And YES to their lipsticks!!! I have long felt the comparison to the Charlotte Tilbury formula. I love Essence. I do like that primer that you tried. You can even wear it on it's own as a foundation. It may not have worked well for you because it's a more matte primer. I usually have worn it under a liquid foundation. Also, I have more oily skin so it may work better for oily skinned people. I love their lipsticks too. Especially the formula that you tried. I like the Extreme waterproof mascara from them. I just got the powder foundation. Someone from an Ulta review of that product said that if you use a few shades lighter on your eyes on days that you don't want to wear eyeshadow it looks good on your eyes and makes your eyes pop. I got it a few shades lighter than my skin tone for that reason. I watched a Wayne Goss video wear he talked about doing that too. Another RU-vidr put a liquid primer (the Glo Serum) under this foundation and it looked a little more glowy that way. Thanks for the video!
The lip oil looks amazing. I just clicked the link to go buy it and it actually has FIVE FULL stars on ULTA and on top of that it's sold out....I can't believe how beautiful it came out .... because like u Jess most times those type of products give my lips a pink that I do NOT LIKE but it looks so so good on u I promise.....since Ulta is sold out I'm gonna go try to find it elsewhere 😘😘

My favorite colors from that Essence lipstick line is the shades bold, loyal, and this is nude. Also don’t sleep on the 2.99 lip liner that’s a pencil (needs to be sharpened) in the shade my choice, legendary, and bold. They are beautiful nude-y shades that flatter most lip tones.
Jess, if the mascara is transferring on your skin, it is because it is rubbing against your skin's oil. a waterproof version would not prevent this! I have hooded eyes and still get so much transfer..wish more youtubers would do the testing to find a smudge-proof or oil-proof mascara at the drugstore (closest to tubing!)
Hi I also need a tubing mascara (watery eyes due to rosacea and too sensitive eyes for daily removal of waterproof). The best I've found at a lower price point is the DHC and it's available in many countries. It's often on offer somewhere and is then the same price as the like of L'Oreal etc. Most tubing mascaras are really expensive here in the West, but if you're doing an Asian beauty haul from the likes of yesstyle or stylevana you can get really affordable tubing mascaras on there - even more affordable than the DHC. I hope that helps.

This review on the affordable and exceptional quality of drug store gems that are available bring a smile to my wallet, Lol High end cosmetics and skin care don't get my attention as much as affordable products do. Your makeup always looks nice and polished but... this review today shows that affordable makeup can give the same look as high end. I've been a fan of the Essence cosmetics for over 5 years now, the Lash Princess Sculpted volume mascara is my beloved favorite 🥰 The eyebrow gel lasts much longer than the Elf brand. I loved the Bambi eye mascara then I found this one from Essence. It’s almost exactly the same and less than half the price. I love it! My daughter is Mac NC 5. That Essence matte bronzing powder is the only one she can wear.
The waterproof lash princess is the most indestructible mascara I have ever used! It survived Discovery Cove and Volcano Bay when I was in Orlando and didn’t budge at all. Removing was a bit of a process though 😂
