Essendon Highlights - Rd 14 2022 v St Kilda 

After watching every painful game this season, this is the game us bombers fans have been waiting for! Go dons 😎

What a win from the boys. Ridley, Laverde and Kelly played brilliantly down back for us and Nick Hind is so underrated with his dash and kicking ability. Shiel, Caldwell and McGrath can play in Defence or Midfield and still have an impact. Heppell looked like a solid contributor down back as well. Jones, Wright and Stringer really jelled which was great to see and Perkins played Fantastic. The most underrated player for Essendon is Matt Guelfi, he plays a solid game on the wing and often goes down forward and kicks goals, absolute gun. But the best players were definitely Draper and Redman. Both are so exciting and will definitely be in the running for future captains, and let’s not forget about Drapers speccy! Other players that contributed well were Ambrossio, looks like he is going to be a solid player for us, Ham who did some good things and Phillips who took some clunks. Really great team performance against a better outfit in St Kilda. You just have to wonder, where has this been from the boys?

Hobbs is an absolute steal at 13. Also 2MP would love having Jake and Harry back. Opens him right up. Great stuff DW awesome as always

Archie Perkins & Harrison Jones are starting to really impress me. Perkin’s ability to break tackles & create opportunities. Jones provides another tall option up forward, great kick & mark.

This is the type of game style we need to play week in week out. As hard as it is to love the sash sometimes, seeing games played like this always makes it worth it

Great game BOMBERS. Did anyone notice the umpires were trying to get stkilda over the line in the last quarter.

They were a completely different team against a pretty good side. The hangover today is well worth it lol.

Peter Wright looks so dangerous when he's provided with good service. Well done Dons, keep up the defensive pressure and the rest will follow

I swear Perkins' read and react is so amazing he almost never makes a mistake, his poised and calm does what he's told and more. his effort every week is amazing and he's my favourite player for a reason. boy he's so good

The current side is a forward pressure side….. we are decent defensively but our real strength is the forward pressure from experienced and young talent….. We just need to keep producing this ‘relentless’ style of play….
