I can’t tell you how happy I am to have found your videos! It’s very hard to find courses where I live that cover all these basics (most of them are goldsmithing and silverwork classes, or bead weaving). I’ve only watched three of your videos so far, and I’m hooked! Can’t wait to get all my supplies together and get started. Thank you! ❤️

I enjoy your show so much. I watched a video on seed needed earrings. I love the earrings but no matter how much I watch it I can get the hang of the bridge stitch. Love this video, so well made and explained so well. I made a bracelet using the looper from a video you did and very happy with it.

I am crafting some simple jewelry pieces for my outdoor sales stand. I’ve been making pies and jams but with COVID-19 a lot of people are afraid to even approach the table. So I am branching out into including jewelry on the front table and putting the Pie And Jam in the shade which is probably better anyway for the food. I’m just looking for simple techniques and your tutorial gave me everything that I will probably need.

Thank you, Susan! I'm glad you agree with me on the Easy Knotter. I love it, because I don't have to think through the steps (easiest to use), plus get the knots right up against the beads with ease. Just want to mention, you didn't say anything about pre-stretching the elastic cord. I was always told it is necessary, but is it?
@JewelSchool
@JewelSchool 5 лет назад
I think you meant the silk cord since you are talking about knotting. Yes. Absolutely always wet and stretch silk cord before knotting. If you do not, it will stretch later and you will end up with space between the knots and the beads. If you meant the elastic here is an answer I previously posted addressing this. “The jury is out on this one! I use elasticity and I have never found that I have to do that, but many people swear by this trick. It certainly does not hurt the elastic to pre-stretch it so stretch away!”

I watched a video where the person used a crimp tool the wrong way, but I didn’t realize that until now. No wonder I was having issues with the crimp beads breaking at times. I’ll be less stressed next time I use crimp tubes and beads now that I’ve seen this video.

Love the videos and Love your enthusiasm however like the other comments, some of Us just need that “Wire Looping” shown a wee bit Slower Pleeease. The part of initial looping in the beginning is understood, it’s just the first pick up of our tool then replacing the wire then turning our needle nose pliers then twisting again it just gets to be complicated.

definitely cheaper to learn how to wire wrap and create your own head pins, eye pins, open/close jump rings. But as for creating decorative chains from wire i tend to favor just buying them as making them is very very tedious. Though i am curious if you have any good methods or perhaps a cheap home user machine that can make different decorative chains? Industry machines pump these out by the kg daily.

I've been playing around making stitch markers to hold my place when I have to take my crochet hook out of my project. - Basically a drop earring with a clasp instead of a earring hook. - But I didn't wrap my wire around after I made my circles. Now I wonder if I should go back and redo them. 🤔 none of them have come undone.

16 inches with a 1 inches extender is a pretty standard length. Although I have noticed styles going a little long so you might consider 18 inches! Either length is a great starting point!

Great question! I add a clasp juts the same as always -- thread the silk through a crimp bead, then the clasp finding and back through the crimp bead (on both ends). Crimp, snip, and go!
