Interesting that you like the peelers. In my 'day job' I work for a media distribution company and our returns department processes tens of thousands of units per day. A few years ago the company's Health & Safety manager told the department that the operators couldn't use knives any more (despite there never having been any injuries in 10 years) so they were required to shift to these peelers. Even after the initial settling in period, we found productivity was halved, there were more damages and the team were getting through dozens of peelers per week (because the operators found they lost their edge after 1 or 2 shifts and stopped working) . After three months we reverted to using knives. To be fair, the returns operators were expected to process 500+ units per hour so their experience may not be typical!
@Lindey, an essential tool I use when photographing a lot of my small vintage items is a locking tape measure and a small cheap carpenter's square to put next to the item to show scale. $3.00 at Harbor Freight Tools.
One thing an ephemera collector told me. White bread cleans heavier paper items. Rub it on lightly and let it do it's job. Won't take off permanent markers though.
Lindey...just discovered you a couple weeks ago, & just have to say: You are one wonderful Gal! Love your honesty, your desire to help others...your sweet spirit! Thank you for all we're learning & I'm with you for the long haul!!! Blessings
Lindey, Your video on deciding to accept free returns for sixty days just helped me tremendously. I'm in my sixty month of Ebay selling (lots of clothing) and trying to up my game. I have been considering changing my return policy to get 'Top Rated' status but was resisting. With your input, I now see how great a selling tool it will be. Thank you so much for you for all your evaluation and insight that you've shared on this channel.
For anyone thinking that they can’t start selling on eBay for whatever reason just know you can because I was in the same boat a little over a month ago and I have made about 2k in sales and I knew next to nothing when I started and all I really had was a scale ruler and shipping paper
@@ruthlogan1494 I sell all sorts of things that have just been laying around In my house ranging from games to toys to clothes. There is always someone looking for what you sell
Steptheboss N So good to know. I do have a ton of things I can sell, so thank you for the inspiration once again. I think I am ready to jump in and give it a try. Thank you again!
Things to not waste your time and money on when you start Amazon and eBay. 1. Pateron groups 2. Big lighting kits with backgrounds 3. Fancy camera, just use your phone 4. Anything that requires you pay a monthly fee
Great video! You always come up with different, unique topics that help those of us who have been doing this for a while, and also for the beginners. Thanks, Lindey!
There is an app called FotoFuze that gives your photos a white background. You have to read directions. But works great! I also use PicMonkey for now but phasing it out!! Thank you for a very informative video!
Thank you so much for your info. My son age 15 has perfect eyesight and constant headache. I've taken him to Dr specialist and eye doctor twice and they never mentioned those. I'm excited to try it!!
Thanks Lindy. I’ve added Evernote to my phone so that I can write down brands that sell well and have them with me when I shop. Will also check out Godaddy online bookkeeping system too.
Salecalc is only on iPhone, but you can find the web tool online. The Android Salecalc is NOT this Salecalc. It looks like the highest rated Android equivalent is called eProfit.
Cooking oil works on stickers. I use F.lux to reduce eyestrain on the computers and a app from playstore on phone that does the same theres alot of them.
Thank- you for this much needed, helpful video. I have been selling and not sure what point to make it a legitimate business. I guess I will be backtracking some!:) Hope that you and family are well!
I should get some magic erasers, look godaddy bookkeeping and salecalc. I have most of the other tools you mentioned. It's a great list of tools that you provided for us.
HI Lindey and everyone, I 💚 this video and was wondering why don't you make vids on PM or Mer anymore? Can one make more selling on EB or else where? Thanks 🤳✍
Good video. Have a question, though. How do you people who print shipping labels list without having an item packaged up to be weighed? Or knowing where it's going? Like, if I'm not using a flatrate priority package, how do I list the weight to get the label? Cause last time I tried, I couldn't change whatever eBay or PayPal had after the item sold?! This is why I don't do labels and just go to the post office. (Also don't have ink to waste currently, but yeah...)
You don’t have to have expensive equipment at all. I did however order three shipping label printers plus the 2 or three laser printer to use for printing shipping labels and packing slips. I am on record as saying that I could easily reach my eBay account limits each month $115,500/17,325 per month. Two months of sales I simply ask them to double all limits then max those limits out each month. Just a generalized statement and regardless of which limit I attempt to reach first the ballpark limits would be close to one another. So roughly $250,000 per month? Go figure.
If you mean your handling time for your items, I can tell you how I did it recently lol. You can't do it in bulk on your phone, you have to do it on a computer. I literally just googled it. 😋 How to bulk edit handling time on eBay. It comes right up, and you can click right into your acct and do it in bulk by checking a bulk edit box on top of your listings. I think you can only do however many show up at a time, though... Like, 25 or so? Then you have to go do the next page (depending on how many items you have). I wish eBay wasn't so obnoxious when it came to figuring out stuff like this!
Hey Lindy. I purchased my 1st box from wholesale ninjas and so far I'm kinda disappointed with my profits. Even when I overprice, when I deduct everything the profit is only $1 or less. Sometimes a little more. Does it get better? Or do I have to sell 1000s of things to actually make a good profit? I feel like I'm doing so much work for so little. What can I do to make more? Also, besides ebay, where can I cross-post items? I'm doing personal care and cosmetics. Thanks so much!
Try Via trading, Bulq and there's a few others. Utubers promote what they get paid to promote, hence the affiliate links and that's not a bad thing it's actually a good thing as we should be supporting our Utubers for the valuable content they give us, that being said please proceed with caution with suggestions we're given. Do your research.
Probablyva dumb question, but does the Go Daddy accounting software also track the items you've sold, and if so, will the barcode scanner work with the sofware? Thanks
So the light box you have listed is a bit beyond my price range.... do you recommend a cheaper version (until I can earn enough to get a larger light box)?
There are smaller ones or ones that aren’t as expensive but I can’t say which are good or bad because I haven’t used them. I would just look into some based on price and check reviews.
I hate looking up produts with the upc. It doesn't tell you everything on the platform, just everyone that used a upc. I just talk into ther voice recognized
I have everything listed here except the app. I just got a new phone for my birthday & it says it wont fully work because in so many words the full version only works on older phones. I checked for updates but there wasn't any. Anyone know if there is a similar app?
When trying get a scale I got one in photo and it came broken I returned it and they refunded me and I went to harbor freight and picked up a $50 shipping scale still has the same batteries and been over a year! I definitely think scales are a must
Hi! This video is currently unlisted (not public) because I’m waiting on my link from Skillshare. It will be available soon! Also I am currently in the process of moving so I’ve fallen behind on my emails but I’ll get back with you soon! :)
Lindey Glenn ok. Thank you. Yes. You mentioned that in a recent video. Congratulations and best of luck to you and your family. Please get in touch when you can. I am interested in coaching. 😊
I think I had it when I had my Samsung but I’m not sure. Try searching eBay fee calculator on the play store and see what comes up? Might be something similar
Skillshare was the only sponsor and I talked about them for about 90 seconds of a 20 min+ video. I personally use every product I discuss in this video for my business. Thank you for your feedback!
