Adam, your podcast is WONDERFULLY helpful…!! I’m a Brit from London who is married to an American. We live in New York with our 2 children, and are SERIOUSLY considering a move to CR….! My husband and I are coming for a scouting trip in 2 weeks. We are both business owners- I’m in the beverage industry and my husband is in the entertainment industry (that’s how we met- I was an actor/singer for many years)! Watching your podcast has been really insightful. Thank you!!! If you have any other tips/suggestions for us, pleeeeeaaaase share!!😅

Hey Lauretta, Thanks so much for taking the time to respond! I am so glad you are finding these podcasts helpful. That is the goal. It sounds like you have a great trip planned for two weeks time. It is a wonderful country to live in, but always smart to have a short test drive before making the big move. If I can answer any questions at all that may help please feel free to let me know. Or even stop by for a coffee when you are in San Jose! Let me know. Adam @TheCRVteam

Are there travel recommendations for older people aren't big hikers, etc.?

Of course there is a ton of options when it comes to a more relaxing vacations experience. Costa Rica has everything on offer (except skiing!) and some wonderful spots all over the country if you are looking for a more relaxed getaway. Enjoying the scenery from the warmth of the hot springs is always right up there for me. If you need help planning a vacation let me know and I can set you up with one of our top travel consultants. Each of our vacation itineraries is custom design based on what you want from your trip. Nothing is standardized. I hope that helps and do let me know what kind of vacation experience you are looking for!

Adam, is there an idea of integrating touring Costa Rica and Panama together as a precursor to staying longer in either or both of the countries?

Hey Dovygoodguy, Can you embellish a little more to what are are referring to? Do you mean would get a Visa extension if traveling to both countries together? Either way upon entering Costa Rica and Panama separately you would get a 90 day tourist Visa to explore either for 3 months each. Does that help answer your questions? Adam @TheCRVteam

@@CostaRicanVacations Sort of I guess. The two countries are in a bit of competition in my mind, with people strongly advocating for one or the other..... Even Paitilla versus Escazú. Or the coasts. Even for people like usein our 60s who aren't super active but want to see either or both and relax away from North America, leading perhaps to snowbirding for 3-4 months eventually.

@@dovygoodguy1296 sounds like a good plan. Ideally if you can visit both options and see how you like both cultures over an equal amount of time you should be able to make a better decision after a proper test. In general Costa Rica tends to be cooler from a climate point of view that might be worth thinking about depending on the region you are looking at. --Adam

@@CostaRicanVacations I guess the best way to go would be 2-6 weeks based in Escazú and 2-6 weeks based in Paitilla/Punta Pacifica. I assume the longer the better, and to do it for a couple of winters. I do like the idea that Panama offers more than 90 days without bothering with a border run. Does the influx of migrants into Costa Rica affect the life of North Americans visitors or expats?

@@dovygoodguy1296 not at all. The expat community in Costa Rica is part of what makes it so great. You can have as much or as little involvement as you like. The longer you can explore both countries the better you will get a feel for them and their people to see which you prefer. I have been to Panama many times and personally prefer Costa Rica due to the cooler climate and warm people (and love of soccer) in my case. But Panama has a thriving city and plenty to enjoy culturally as well and is not as expensive as Costa Rica, which is also worth thinking about.

Hello and thank you for this video! In two days I will be in Costa Rica! I will be spending two months in Zancudo. I have rented a small house on the edge of the jungle and a couple hundred yards from the beach. I am very excited! I am an American, 54, from Wisconsin and travelling alone. I do have some mobility issues due to a spinal cord injury several years ago but I won't let that stop me from experiencing as much as I can. Any general tips or advice for me? I also have a 4X4 Toyota 4Runner rented for the two months as well. Thanks again, Paul
