I began following Kombi life 3-4 years ago back in Peru. It’s truly one of the most authentic and original van lifer channels. Near and dear to my heart were all those engine overhauls in South America, getting stuck in the mud, all the locals you immersed with to show us actual culture, and never knowing who was showing up to join the ride. Such a big fan!

Great to see some fantastic shots of Jersey, we had 3 summer holidays on the Island in my early teens, and I fell in love with it. I named our house Corbiere that summer after the lighthouse, and was also the name of the overnight ferry we took on our first visit. In a gail force 8, not the one which you mentioned needed evacuating luckily! Hoping to see you find your feet again, and that you manage to get some travelling in this summer.

Good to see you back. Have you seen videos from the VWLife and OldVolks RU-vid Channels? These guys in Texas have classic VW vans/Kombis/Westphalias, as well as classic Beetles and other classic VWs, and once in awhile the take to the road to go on camping trips. When the COVID-19 restrictions are cleared, you should head to Texas and join up with these gentlemen🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

You may have mentioned it before, but I’d love a vid on how to maintain a data like plan when traveling internationally. I’ve done it for singular countries easy but I wonder how difficult/annoying that is when traveling through multiples

Battleborn are ridiculously expensive though. If you can wire a camper, buy your own Eve/Lishen cells and BMS, for half the price and 3 times the capacity. Some useful Apps there though!

Better go with home assistant than simply safe. Once you start it you will get addicted to track everything in your car. There is a nice app for it and it is open source. Their is also a video with someone using it in his bus. With esp home you can build super easy super cheap sensors to integrated. U have to check it you will love it. It runs good on a rpi3.

Enjoyed the episode. Have you looked at using a Raspberry Pi with Venus OS installed. You can remotely monitor your Victron gear as well as capturing historical performance info.

Hey fellow islander. I’m from the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 you mite of heard of it before as are governments are very close friends. Plus we’re both crown independents. Tax dodgers haha 😂. I think the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 is doing flights to your island to at the moment or we where sound as we had no cases of covid. I’ll have to come down on my yacht take use out or could meet up in my vw multivan westfalia at some point. Maybe you could have a fan meet up while your still in uk

*Jersey Cave: From experience, I can tell you that if it's not a cool spot to hang out with teen friends, skateboard, a mall to people watch, make-out w your love interest, drink coca cola, beer or smoke, or really well hidden, it's probably useless to teens. So not surprised that cave isn't more popular. Ha, I think I can remember back that far..
