Why do autoethnography? Autoethnography is a unique approach to qualitative research that employs writing as the primary method of inquiry. Through systematic participation, observation, reflection, introspection, and self-reflexive writing, the autoethnographer strives to achieve rich, detailed, evocative, compelling accounts of human social experience.
