Essim Shaibu Mbwana is a dedicated film enthusiast with a relentless pursuit of excellence. Over his 12 years career, he has garnered
recogni�on as a versa�le Director of Photography, Editor, and Writer. His journey in the world of filmmaking began in Malawi, where he defied
the odds by teaching himself video produc�on while pursuing a degree in agriculture.
Essim has also worked on several film produc�ons, including the BBC Films documentary "The Story of Tea" as a camera assistant and DIT, the
TV series "Living in Africa" for DSTV People's Weather Channel as a DOP, and Malawian Movies' "Highbrow" and "Misnomer" as a DOP, editor,
