Thank you, Timothy. I have a fondness for colorful, sparkly brooches. I remember ladies back in the 70s's wearing hats and gloves to church but for some reason, I cannot remember their jewelry.
Hey there! Those mushroom pieces are so cheerful! I had a mushroom canister set for YEARS but it was a pearlized tannish/light brown color. I must have donated it years ago.
Hi Madison! So lovely to see your name pop up. Yes, I love the color in those brooches. After I saw your note about the rarity of the mushroom teapot, I tried to find one on ebay. I found ZERO. You are right!! They are a gift for my nieces.
The mushroom set Dee is a great find and you can't beat the 3 dollar price. But the costume jewelry and those amethyst gold earrings are stunning. If I were you I'd get that opal ring repaired, nice old piece. Keep them coming
Hi Janel. How was your week? Both of these sales were good. The opal ring is not testing as 10K gold or better. I am wondering if it might be Australian and be 9K so that my testing acids don't work?
Hi Robin. I was really lucky on the gold. There were a few pieces of jewelry that the family took back that had been in my "pile". They were gold too but were sentimental to the family such as class rings plus a tanzanite ring which I don't even remember. I'm just happy with what I found!
Thank you, Patty! So nice to get a message from you. The mushroom pieces are a gift to my niece. I found her the canister set last year so now she will have more pieces to the set.
