Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review on Mature Skin - BentlyK 

Took a while to find a real woman over 40 who looks real and has issues (whose complexion isn't completely perfect) and I'm Not criticizing, I'm saying it's great seeing someone whose complexion doesn't look like a porcelain doll, I'm 46 have eye bags, a couple of sun spots and some uneven skin tone, I'm glad I found someone I can relate to, and I just ordered this in Dawn so this is very helpful, thank you!

Good video. I must ask you and other reviewers to always mention and even list the color foundation you use. With so much online shopping today, seeing the color on a face helps viewers make purchasing decisions. I'm glad you mentioned Dawn. I was trying to seewhat that color looks like. The secret to Double Wear Foundation is to have normal to oily skin, at any age! Do NOT use if you have dry skin. Make sure you RELIGIOUSLY exfoliate your skin (bha aha's etc) and to use your serum and moisturiser AT NIGHT as well as day time. Then you need to use a moisturising primer or a dewy one like Tom Ford's. The dewy primer stops it looking lifeless. I almost gave up on Doublewear after 12 years - but then realised I needed to change my skin products as my skin had changed.

I love this foundation. It is by far the best one I have tried, and I have tried quite a few. I am 64 so definitely fall into the mature skin range. I do try to do one area at a time. I apply it with my fingers and sometimes use a damp blending sponge. My skin looks lovely and I get many compliments on my skin when I am wearing this foundation. I was afraid to try it for quite awhile because of hearing about it being cakey. I am glad I tried it, it is by far my favorite foundation. I have no problem with it looking cakey and it lasts all day.

Hi, Estée Lauder have just introduced a new foundation for mature skin called youth perfectionist youth infusing foundation, either swap to this one or just do as I do I put my double wear onto my hand and add night repair serum mix together and the effect is stunning and looks really good besides adding hydration , I use also morning aura prima underneath my foundation. The results are great regards liz.

I absolutely hated it. No matter how much I used, what product I used to put it on with and I even tried blending it with another foundation, it was always cakey. Looks good on you.

I haven't tried any of the Estee Lauder foundations yet but its on the top of my list with the new Smashbox one. Anyhow I had seen in a lot of videos that if this foundation is to heavy or to matte, you can add a drop of any beauty oil to it to help. That goes for other foundations as well.

The MAC pump fits DW bottles, you just need to trim the straw a tiny bit!

Hi...I'm a new subscriber. I have watched several of your videos and really enjoyed them. You are straight to the point. The first one I watched was your suggestion to conceal under eye bags...and it really worked. I am also a person on a mission searching for the right foundation. I have tried so many over the past year...I am finding it hopeless to a point...love them for a few weeks and then after that, not quite as much...sort of like your experience with Shiseido foundation. I haven't tried the Estee, but you made it look so good, I may have to. Right now, I am liking the Lancôme cushion Tient Idole with spf 50. We'll see how long that will last. I just want one to love...LOL! However, I did notice that you put your foundation on with "gusto," something I recently saw Wayne Goss do/suggest. That just may be the trick...because I don't put that much "oomph" behind it when I put on my foundation. I am trying that tomorrow morning. Great coverage. It looks very natural and flawless on you! Great color. I don't have the Artis dupe brush you have, but I love mine! It spreads the makeup so well and I find that I use much less product. I have a beauty blender, and just about all the dupes, and I just don't feel comfortable using them...I feel like I'm using so much product! Maybe I'm not using them right. I find I use them more for touch ups, etc.. Amazon has a great selection of dupes for the Artis brush...Are finding any settling in fine lines? You are making me want to try this, but I used to be a smoker, and I have a lot of fine lines around my mouth. Do you think it would settle in them?Great job!!!!!!

Looks amazing! I use Double Wear and get fantastic coverage.

My expierence with this product was that is was to drying and did cake up under my eyes after several hours. PS. I did use a moisturizing spray after applying as well. It was great other than that.

This foundation did not work for me. It looked good ,(as almost all foundations do) when I first put it on but after a several hours it got very shiny and pooled into lines and wrinkles.

So glad you finally pulled your hair back. Is your skin oily or dry? This foundation looks great on you but I wasn't happy with it. A matte make up for mature skin just doesn't make sense. We need a slight dewy look. I'll try some of the other foundations mentioned here.

I'm still trying to figure this one out.It dries really fast and once it dries it won't move from where it dries.so I just put a light layer and finish once place before moving to next.haven't been able to build it up without problems so have been letting first layer dry and adding a different foundation on top and that helped for me some.I got the more staying power from the Estée Lauder and the better coverage by adding something above.Hoping to figure it out completely to use by itself.I need full coverage that don't slide with super oily skin and that don't fall into wrinkles and make them stand out.

Need more info....Did you use powder after applying this foundation? If so, which powder was used and what tool for the powder application. What concealer was used with this foundation & where did u apply it? In order to throughly review the foundation you should inform the audience exactly what products you used with this foundation & which tools for application of those products. I used ELDW for many years & loved it. Now with age it just doesn’t wear as great as it did for me 15 years ago.
