The tragic case of Brianna Ghey shocked the nation when she was found stabbed to death. Two 16-year-olds were found guilty of the 'senseless' murder. Ahead of Brianna Ghey’s killer sentencing next week, we speak to her mother Esther Ghey about what she has gone through and her plans to help other teens struggling with mental health.
The judge has said that their identities will be revealed, which Esther supports. Brianna's mother has asked people to be compassionate towards the families of the teenagers responsible for Brianna's murder.

I watched this, I cried and cried. This mum is a warrior and I admire her strength. Brianna would be proud of her mum. Standing tall for others. My love and heart goes out to her and her beautiful angel Brianna.

Bring on the sentencing! Can't wait to see them get long prison terms. My daughter was friends with Brianna and X, no one ever thought anything like this would happen to people my own child hung out with in a quiet village where you'd never think something like this could happen

@@CrashBang30 my daughter said she was a normal teenager. A bit odd but then again who isn't? When she started at my daughter's school she used to tell people she was a witch and did blood magic and used spells against people but my daughter thought it was just to get attention and make herself stand out. My daughter persuaded the rest of her friend group to allow X to hang around with them. She used to sit with her in some after school GCSE prep classes and she said X was nice, and funny 🤷‍♀️

@@dannylad1600 I've heard both too. My daughter said there were some incidents and Brianna sometimes let school earlier than everyone else to avoid the other kids but Esther says there weren't any issues with the school and I'm sure she would know better although she has received a lot of support from Mrs Mills so maybe being diplomatic? 🤷‍♀️ But my daughter said Brianna was loud, feisty and funny in public, but as we've heard from Esther, she had her own struggles with mental health and anxiety.

Basic human decency ,seems to ooze out of this very courageous lady , more so because NONE was afforded her. I hope in the years of lonely ,sad moments of reflection and just wanting her child back ,She can keep her strength . Surely ,her lifes been changed enough?

I am so sorry for what happened to Brianna and it makes us caring people with empathy so angry that hate and evil exist for no reason in those two young people to take away a beautiful person is beyond belief through prejudice and hate she was obviously a strong person and a daughter you loved very much and may the love of god be with you both forever.
