Thank you for the video! I love your Esther jacket. Regarding size inclusivity, it's ultimately up to the designers to decide which sizes they want to offer. They handle the pattern editing and often bear the cost of technical editors, among other expenses. As knitters, we can choose whether or not to knit their designs. Personally, I knit everything in larger sizes, so many vintage patterns aren't available to me. When that happens, I simply find another pattern that I like.

thank you for sharing your thoughts! I appreciate an open conversation around this topic and have decided for my podcast to address it as I hope this will help other knitters of a wide range of bodies to find beautiful patterns to knit - I also believe that designers who put in that kind of work could ask for higher prices for their patterns to be compensated for their work obviously :)

The Esther jacket looks beautiful. You should definitely be proud of it. I struggle with waiting for friends and family to get the gift I want. 😅 Often I just go ahead and get myself because I don’t want them to miss the opportunity or not understand my urgency 😂

About the Italian bind-off, Petiteknit has the greatest video tutorial on her own webpage where she explains it perfectly well.

thank you so much! 🧡 I haven’t had an official analysis done but I have tried several online tests which all came back either ad soft or warm autumn 🍂 which was also what I we hoping for 🤭 so I won’t be questioning it too much ahah

I was thinking about the struggle you've been having with the US seam allowance and there's a quilting tool that looks crazy but I love it. It's called a measuring guide and has an 1/8" to 2" gauge and you line it up on the edge of your fabric and match your gauge. Dritz is the manufacturer and it's called the Dritz 14 in 1 measuring gauge. I'm not sure if it's available in Germany but it's an idea :)

I love the esther jacket and the archer work pants!! your colour choice is amazing as always :) I find the issue with height specific pattern is that some people have longer legs and others have longer torsos meaning height doesn't tell you about leg length? not sure if that makes sense but yeah... scared about getting into sewing..
@marleneknits
@marleneknits Месяц назад
oh you are totally right!! I feel like I’m always talking about my torso being shorter and legs longer but didn’t even think about this affecting sewing pants?! I‘ll definitely add length to my next version :)

thank you! you can check out our onlineshop where we’ve still got a bit of rain cloud and sage left! other sustainable german yarn brands I know of / want to try knitting with are soil (unspun german wool), mährle (several different german bread yarns!) and calling sheep has some pommernschaf wolle but of course there are many more :)

I love Le Knit patterns but never started knitting her designs simply because I don't want to stress myself. I've heard so many reviews on her patterns having tons of mistakes and I just don't get it how can a designer release a pattern with mistakes in words, not even speaking about tech mistakes. It seems like her patterns don't go through correct testing and editing (at least in English). I really wanted to knit her palm tee and other designs but the reviews have scared me enough to just not do that. There are many many amazing designers who put their effort and money into making a great pattern that is free from mistakes at least.
