I feel like that scene had such great potential and was ruined. It could've gone down like this: A guy was revealed to be Charlotte's killer, and said that he is coming for Ali next. As they are in th classroom, Ali opens the blackboard to a secret passageway while the man (Cece's killer) is chasing after them. As he begins to get closer and closer, as he pulls the trigger to shoot Ali, A.D shoots him, and escapes.
True and she doesn't know everything she didn't write the whole show or directed the whole show. I know she can be a lil ignorant sometimes but give her a break. Running a tv show has to be a buttload of work...

Almost all big stories have plot holes. It was a dream scene and nothing else, it makes complete sense, Emily cares for Alison and she still worries about the whole Archer situation. Maybe they didn't know what to do with that scene, it's irrelevant, treat it that way and stop making a huge deal out of it.
32:57 "Because the person who is A.D. asked me not to tell anyone, because that person did not want to affect certain scenes" Now I'm thinking A.D. is someone who has been seen throughout Season 7, so it most likely won't be someone like Melissa (who I still want to be A.D.) or anyone else who is only in the finale.
I'm also really leaning towards a twin of spencer as you say she knew before the others and i can totally seeing her requesting not to tell others so it doesn't affect others. I also think troians middle name is avery so it would be ironic if her twin is avery drake.
it couldn't be Melissa because she said that she had to try to get Melissa, if she was A.D. then Melissa would still be in a contract with then and they would not have to TRY.
I hear ya. I have a feeling she's lowering expectations though. If this reveal doesn't wrap up all the loose ends and connects everything from the beginning, then this is going to be massively disappointing. I just don't see them being that dumb though.

And they also asked her if she had a talk with AD letting them know and she said yes, that they did very early on because it would effect their performances. Which I think means that they let Torrey ( Melissa) know so she could talk with the producers on her show and they gave her approval to shoot the finale.
marlene basically said the person that is A.D knew ahead of time & torrey didn't know ahead of time. she was keep on saying in interviews she knows nothing cause they don't tell her anything until she came back
Melissa Browder they always lie and say they don't know. It's obvious that the person that is AD wants to keep it under wraps. If you watched the interview, Marlene said that AD didn't want anybody to know and obviously Torrey wasn't going to say "oh yeah , Marlene talked to me and I'm coming back for the finale" that would make it too obvious

Also Marlene said she talked to that person before and this person decide them not to tell the cast he/she was A.D. to make specific scene choices trough out all season so i don't think it's Torrey since she's only for the last episode, but i could be wrong definitely

That was really stupid because they killed her off and it had nothing to do with the storyline. It had nothing to do with A or anything like that. For me, Emily and Maya were a perfect couple. Tbh, Emison is a second choice.

Marlene is such a hot mess with all the loose ends. I just lost all the hope for the finale. She put in the scene she didnt even plan, she probably didnt even plan the cece's horrible reveal with all the plot holes. She doesnt even remember big murders in her own show she fucking wrote. And ofcourse the melissa's suitcase storyline is irrelevant and the fact that someone almost ran over emily to get it. She probably forgot about that too.

And explain eddie lamb, wren coloring that was never mentioned again, melissa's involvment, we know she went to the campbell's farm, does she know charlotte from then, and melissa's face spencer found at that creepy mask shop, and what is the deal with bethany and why was shower harvey both black widow and red coat.

I'm from England and I truly love PLL.... my Partner died 3yrs ago.... and I got thru it all by watching PLL.... I demolished the first 4 seasons in a few weeks... I'm sad to see it leave, but excited to find out whom A.D is 😁😉 xxx

Honestly I feel like the cast really deep inside feel disappointed with who AD is but obviously cant say that.. that's a diss to the show and writer and director etc. I have this feeling like AD is going to be .. like someone really boring. Ian said he didn't like it at first. Ashley said she didn't think that was possible and Tyler said he was mind blown. And Lucy says it really good. But who fits these descriptions ? Who Can be that shocking and great as AD but still be someone where it doesn't really make sense to begin with and lots of people didn't like/ get it at first?

I feel like the perfect ending for the finale would be after the liars find out who A.D. is and they figure out what to do with their lives, Addison alone or Addison with her "group" go to the funeral of the person who dies in the finale and then they get an "A" like text and then the scene from the first PLL episode ever is recreated with the song that played (Rachel Diggs: Hands of Time).
Wow this makes them look so bad. Honestly reshooting because they HAD to and then 'hey let's make it into a dream' wow really, such bad writing. I'm worried for the final they haven't a clue, her face when asked about the suitcase, it was like 'oh yeah forgot about that, oh well, that's there was no point for that really just messing around and wasting time' I wouldn't mind if the show wasn't always saying 'follow the clues' they didn't even know where the clues ended up. :(
The only thing that makes me sad is that AD is not someone whose been in control from the beginning. I always held out hope that AD was in charge ever since the beginning and that if I went back and watched the whole series, I would see it since season 1 and feel like a fool :). Oh well :'(
Marlene doesn't even know answers to her own show. This is so disappointing because we waited so many years and the writers never had a solid story plot and they just did it to get viewers. I wasted so many years of my life for this show and they're probably not gonna give us any good answers to plot holes that's why they have a q+a special after the last episode is over

I think this interview was good in terms of process of Elimination. If everything that said was accurate. Then we know we is def out of the running as A.D. 1. It's not Melissa. They tried to get her back for the season finale. They accomplished that. If she didn't come back - the show would've had to go on. 2. It's not Mona. 3. It's not Aria. 4. It's not Allison. She was one of the first people to find out. She had to piece it together. 5. It's not Toby. Marlene didn't want to make him A.D. Wasn't it establish there is an A.D. That person has helpers. They said Spencer knew before Ally, otherwise the rest of the girls found out around the same time. I could be wrong, but I really think A. D comes down to Spencer, Wren, Paige, Caleb and Ezra.
Because there are photos of Ezra with a bullet hole to his head from behind the scenes, and Aria says "I can't bury Ezra", and also the title of the last episode gives it away.

At 34:10 Marlene gives away who AD is 💜 it's Spencer's twin. There was an interview troian had a few months ago and she said that early on she sat down with Marlene and had a conversation about who AD was. And now Marlene says she had a conversation with this person early on..and both Sasha and lucy have said that they found out later. Troian is the only one who said she found out early
That doesn't mean Spencer has a twin. Troian said in an interview that she made Marlene sit down and tell her who AD was. Marlene would tell her what was going to happen, and she called in story time with Marlene. Plus there is no motive if Spencer had a twin. Marlene said AD was in the first episode ever. I'm guessing AD is Ezra. There is so much proof
Sky Lakes yeah there might be some hints in early seasons but they kinda threw things together last minute like they just made that Ali's classroom scene in season 6 and then we all got our hopes up and they didn't even know who it was about when they wrote it! Honestly, we are loyal and dedicated fans and they just kinda threw it in wherever. That was such a waste of time
I think pretty much the only actors who knew long before everyone else were Troian and Keegan and Marlene made a point to say she told the person who is AD alone as if to not spoil that since we all know they found out together so that makes me think it may be one of them

I was so upset at the CeCe reveal that i was really hoping that this A.D reveal might fill up some plotholes from that and that maybe we'd find out that CeCe was being controlled by A.D all along, and that A.D was the big puppetmaster for the whole 7 seasons even controlling Mona and CeCe. I was still hoping that would happen.. But after watching these interviews with Marlena, I've really lost hope because she keeps saying A.D picked up the game after CeCe and that all the clues are in the recent 10 episodes. I think they could have done a much better job overall with these last 10 episodes to fill up some plotholes. I dont have many high hopes for the final episode but i hope it would be either twincer/ bethany who is maybe a twincer/ melissa in a spencer mask. So that possibly some plotholes could be filled and we find some links to previous seasons and all these 7 seasons of theorizing wont be for nothing
I don't think I'll *EVER* be able to forgive the PLL writers that they made shower harvey both black widow _and_ red coat. Those characters had a lot more potential tbh
