I think I understand what this launch video was going for - basically here are the specs for people that want to stop it and read, and here the sparknotes for people that dont. But as someone who was just passing through and looking for an idea of how good this light is / what niche it fills, Ive frankly got no idea. I guess it's cheap, a mover, with a good number of features?? But I don't know how cheap and how good it is. Nothing has told me "stop and pay attention" even though all my previous experience with ETC/Highend suggests this will be a great fixture

Yeah, they just keep saying "affordable" or "budget-friendly" and it's getting confusing. I've heard MSRP is like 4000 dollars

@@hugtrain9304i mean yeah? What do you expect it to be? Its ECT. If you want something cheaper go with ADJ and in a couple years time when something goes wrong there’s nothing you can do about it cause its been discontinued within the first year.

*OMG! I love this! Finally an affordable and lightweight enough moving fixture for small theaters from ETC...* At first I was a bit disappointed that we don't have gradual colors, but after seeing the possibilities of those two wheels in the manual, honestly, I'm not even mad anymore... Would I ever even need more? Probably not. Only maybe to match with some other light. And I feel like those colors will look awesome. Still a bit sad about not having a high CRI filter, but it's not a deal-breaker for me. Might try to get high CRI filter as a gobo and put it in. In theater we don't need gobos all that often and the ETC's fixed ones are actually really good! Plus having high CRI + rotating gobo on the same time does not really make sense anyway, so this might be the best compromise... I think I'm buying a few of these cuties 😆 But as others already said, come on ETC, what's this video? Looks somewhat nice, but you can't read ANYTHING!

What a terrible preview video. Here's a half a second of visible text followed by an unnecessary scribble out motion graphic so you have to stop the video if you want to actually read more than 4 words. Looks like a cool light, would be nice to read it's specs or just not have the specs at all in the video and just provide a link vs a lesson in frustration and/or poor commercial production.

I think you're missing the entire point of the video, which is clearly showing cheeky, over-the-top technical jargon like "selective bandpass interference coatings for precise wavelength selectivity" briefly, before crossing that out and drawing on the snappy marketing terms they want you to come away with: Bright, tons of patterns, etc. The webpage is linked in the description and features all of the actual technical specifications and documentation.

Seems like the ad did its job… if you are getting too long in the tooth for new technology, the original Series Source Four is still available. 😊

If you can't light a show walking into a theater with a rig of Source Fours as well as walking into a theater with high end movers, you should probably stay in trash and trash concert lighting. I love new tech, I just don't love walking away from a preview that the video editor made their editing the star instead of the product. Ya all can leave your own comments telling them how much you love their video and let that be your voice, but sounds like you're just a troll anyways.

Is there a reason you only gave us 3 seconds per feature with text that would take a minimum of 10-20 seconds to read? Only licensed 1:40 seconds of music? I think you can afford to do a little better than this, guys. But, glad to see a new fixture on the horizon. Will google for more details, since there are none to see here.

Looks like an excellent product, just like ETC & HES always do, but pleeeeease for the love of gawddd, what's the point of showing the specs of anything if in less than 1 second everything is going to get painted over and then gone?!?! Ugh! Watching this video and having to "rewind" and pause it every 3 seconds to read the specks before they get painted over and gone, was VERY VERY VERY annoying (and I'm not even old!) Please don't make product-launch videos like this one ever again. It's a disservice to the impeccable excellence that ETC/HES are both characterized for.

Sorry 9000 lumens out of a 300w engine? When the competition is doing 15k+ lumens out of a similar wattage engine

Sacrifices would have been made in the optics. It’s a small fixture so there would’ve been a hell of a lot of size constraints regarding the size of the lenses inside. Thus less light could be collected from the source.
