They really made 0:28-0:49 open the theme up more and I feel like it really improved it compared to the original since I like the higher emphasis on the percussion that I resonate with more; however, there is no way that 0:49-1:31 can be made better than on the original DS soundtrack. That melody in that crunchy old sound font is just perfection to my ears, but it’s alright here in this rendition, so no complaints from me.
I actually have the opposite thought, especially for the night theme I prefer the middle section on the DS where it sounds more like ancient like with Ecruteak
This arrangement is more textured and complex as a song, but I feel it lost the simple small town feel the DS version had which was a vibe I liked immensely more.
0:28 had a saxophone rather than harmonica in the originals (the harmonica was exclusively only in the day version of the theme in the originals). Wonder if Kageyama just straight up pitched down his day arrangement of this theme lmao, rather than starting from scratch on the night version.
@@fatwiener7097 How can an opinion factually be incorrect? It's based on a subjective view, not on numbers. The general public can like one thing more than something else, but it remains an opinion whether you think it's better or not. Better quality instruments =/= better music. That aside, I respect that you lot prefer this one, to each their own. It's a great remake, but I prefer the original one.
I sometimes wonder why people hate the music from the remakes, yet even when people provide answers- they don't make sense to me. I get it's subjective and everything but this is far from them "ruining" anything to me.
