Now time to explain the end credit scene for both of you Eros aka starfox is the brother of thanos The reason they both look different is because Thanos was born with the deviant gene which caused him to look purple and bigger than the other eternals. Now the second end credit scene kit Harington character is the black knight and the person who speaks to him is blade

Remember the celestial needed intelligent life to continue to develop, re-populate, and provide energy in-order to emerge. Thanos by wiping out half of the population across the universe would also stop all celestials from emerging. He was really trying to save the universe

Some reactors react to Arishem's confession and treat it like it's some villain's plan. He made it clear that it's just part of the cycle and Kingo makes a good point about how they'd be preventing other worlds from being created if they stopped it. Only reason Ajak went against it is because she tought of humans as a special case that deserved to stay alive for saving the universe.

And Arishem had the sense of not being rash on the issue and decides to give it some consideration, a villain typically would be overtly angry about their plan being foiled, but Arishem was like 'there might be some merit to what you said, I will evaluate and decide based off your own memories of them'. He more reasonable then most bosses I have had.

I think that it is pretty clear from the opening crawl (which I took for basically what Arishem told the Eternals/fact as far as the Eternals knew it) that Arishem is lying about a great many things, including how new suns and systems and such are made. So I do think it is, as you said, a villain's plan. He isn't creating worlds, he is doing something else with the new Celestials and therefore destroying worlds for (presumably) nefarious means. But that's just what I took out of it and am wrong more than I'd like so take it for what it is worth.

I disagree mostly based on Ajax following along for as long as she did she seem to understand his “design.” And I felt like when Arishem tells Serci the “true plan” he was sincere. I think the deception was more for compartment mentalization for a successful mission. The leader needs to know everything in case of certain things but the grunts don’t as it could interfere with the mission. Also Arishem giving humanity a trial and not just immediately decimating earth makes me see him as not a villain

@@halohalo929 To me I have no doubt that Ajax believed Arishem, it is just a lie. I just don't believe for one second that Arishem is the only reason that new stars & systems is created. It would happen anyways. They may be doing that (creating suns & life), but only to make more Celestials. I have no idea if the true reason he wants more Celestials for just increasing their power/population or if there is some other reason he wants more Celestials. As far has him giving humanity a trial, what does he care about humanity? The only reason he ever cared was because of the baby Celestial in the planet. It is dead so he doesn't have to do anything to humanity. I don't think he is vengeful or straight up evil, but I do think that there is another reason he wants more Celestials and it has nothing to do with the whole "we are the only thing that can create stars" narrative.

While i understand some of the criticism, i have to say, in my rewatch, the pace didn't bother me as much and now that i didn't need the exposition dumps to get the story, i could pick up a lot of details and hints of the twist, i enjoyed a lot more. Also, this is one of the most beautiful marvels movies i've seen. Edit: The jumps back and forth in the timeline of the movie liked a lot more too in my rewatch.

Dane is Black Knight in the comics. He has a sword called the Ebony Blade, really powerful but comes with a curse. The voice was confirmed to be Blade, the vampire hunter.

There is a theory that Thanos knew about the plan. Because in order for the celestial to be born there has to be a certain amount of life energy on the planet. So Thanos snapped, yes it did get rid of half of life everywhere BUT it also stops ALL the celestials being born and killing everyone else. But like I said it’s a theory I heard.

I loved this movie. This was such a huge story to tackle for people that know nothing of the comics. My biggest complaint was the lackluster chemistry between Sersi and Ikiris. Every other side relationship felt more genuine. I think it gets way too much hate.

I thought it was pretty clunky in the first 30 minutes or so, the delivery of all that information was not handled well at all. But past that point I liked it a lot. It's funny that the chemistry with Sersi and Ikaris was off because Gemma Chan and Richard Madden have been good friends for a long time.

To be honest, I feel like the missing chemistry actually worked in their favor. It really felt like two people dealing with the awkwardness of a past romance and I thought most of the flashback scenes were a little more genuine.

33:37 a lot of reactors have missed the point that in a roundabout way, Thanos was right. Without the blip, Tiamat would have emerged weeks from Infinity War (considering time to increase global population after 5 years plus the half brought back). Kang was also right to not purge the Avengers from going back into time. He wouldn't exist if they weren't allowed to. Thanos was right. He may have massacred trillions across the universe but he also saved Earth and countless other planets from destruction by the Celestials.

The post credits really points to where the MCU is going in terms of opening up the movies to more cosmic stories. the end credits are interesting in that Pip, in the comics was a sidekick of Adam Warlock.And we know Adam Warlock was/ is planned to pop up in Guardians of the Galaxy ( we saw him being kinda born at the end of Duardians 2). And Dane Whitman in the comics is a character called The Black Knight, and that voice was Mahersalla Ali, who's gonna be playing Blade. I wish they'd shown his face.

As for Starfox, he is Thanos's brother, The difference between the 2 brothers is that Thanos has a deviant gene that makes him look more like the monsters in this movie. I really liked ETERNALS, it was almost not a superhero film but about Gods and their creators. The cinematography, score, etc was on WB level of production in terms of quality - like recent films Dune, The Suicide Squad, Doctor Sleep, and of course DC films akin to Man of Steel, ZSJL, etc - but the pacing was a bit off between characters and their motivations, and lacked some character development but they do have a really good foundation and bunch of characters for a sequel, so I welcome ETERNALS 2. This is a film that felt more matured, focused on plot instead of packing in action, Gods essentially trying to be more human in their justification as to stop Tiamut, like the Gods of Olympus trying to stop Cronus from destroying Earth. Zhao' direction was great for this kind of MCU film; but 500 critics give it 48% compared to 10000+ viewers whom gave it 78% on RT, fan and viewer reactions matter more, they always have. A bad review hardly stops me from seeing a film.

Eros and Thanos are brothers, yes. And they are looking different, because Thanos got deviant DNA in him. Also Kit's character is actually Dane Whitman aka Black Knight. In the comics Black Knight once leads the Avengers. And the voice in the end is Mahershala Ali's , Blade. :)

The stakes were weird in this, it was almost like no we can't stop Thanos from destroying Earth, unless he does then we have to save earth because we need to destroy it ourselves for OUR purposes. Like preventing a murder because YOU want to be the one to murder them yourselves.

The cursed sword of ebony. Creators are Merlin, and sir Percy. Mr Whitman is the descendant of sir Percy, one of the original black knights. The sword has the ability to cut through anything and redirect any magical attacks. The catch is, the longer you wield the blade the more aggressive and blood lust you become. All have succumbed to the blade possession.( the sword is made out of a star stone meteorite.)

First off the effects for Ikaris's flying and Makkari's running as well as all the visual effects were STUNNING AND PHENOMENAL!!! The fight sequences are honestly very good for a Marvel movie. In my opinion, the fight sequences in DC Comics movies/shows have always been better filmed than Marvel ones. But the dialogue and the pairing of the dialogue with action was really awkward, like it felt forced and choppy. Don't get me wrong, some of the dialogue was really good and well delivered but there was just too much back and forth between the good and the bad of it. The weird part is there wasn't necessarily a real bad guy except for Arishem. Ikraris was misguided and you can SEE the anguish he has in the end when he looks back at what he did, Sprite ruled by her emotions and anger at her situation and though Druigg mind controlled an entire cult in the thick of it all he still let them go when they were in danger (he's kind of like Killmonger in that he wasn't wrong in his beliefs, more so wrong in his execution). And one thing that annoyed me about this film was the fact that Sersi said she couldn't change/transform organic matter, yet she was able to do it to a deviant which proves that Sersi, or at least her powers, were EVOLVING, something eternals should not be able to do. They threw that in there and DID NOTHING WITH IT!!!

The general consensus is that the voice speaking to Kit Harrington at the end is Eric Brooks aka Blade. The voice is definitely Mahershala Ali so i don't see any reason why it wouldn't be Blade... Also Kit Harrington goes on to become Black Knight if i'm not mistaken.

The fact that they even mention superman in this basically means superman does exist in their world possibly a universe where the dc universe collides with marvel even in the comics Thor and superman have had multiple fights, I don’t think they’ll ever do it but somewhere in the multiverse there is a universe where they collide and fight

Each eternal had there own strengths and weaknesses Thena: very skilled , versatile with her weapons but lacks strength Phastos: very intelligent, resourceful but lack strength and speed Makkari: incredible speed , ok in combat skill but not very durable and lacks strength Sprite: not very strong, partially skilled , good illusions but not very durable Gilgamesh: physically the strongest eternal great durability but lack speed and skill and maneuverability Kingho : great long ranged attacks somewhat skilled but attacks take to long to and fires single shot Cersei : great ability to transmute any element example making a deviant into a tree and a celestial into stone but lacks strength and skill to contend with the other eternals Druid : great mind manipulation good combat skill, good durability but lacks strength Ajak : great healer but hasn’t shown any great strength feats and lacks skill Ikaris : great strength , good long ranged attacks , good durability ok in speed good maneuverability because of flight but lacks intelligence and ok in skill

As far as the "Is Superman now canon in the MCU?" question - for many decades it's been acknowledge by both Marvel and DC that the other publisher's comic books exist as comic books in their universe. So people in the Marvel comics have heard of Superman, The Justice League, etc. as comic book characters and the people in the DC universe have heard of Spiderman as a comicbook character. The first time I remember seeing it referenced in the comics was in the 70's but I'm sure it goes back further than that.

I can see the critic that's being said by Steven and Nikki. I'm incline to agree. Especially now that we have been having a lot of compact MCU movies, we can't help but realizing that Eternals does have a pace problem. Zhao is a greta director but she might still be figuring out how to make a superhero movie with this much of lore and characters. I like the movie too. It's good and enjoyable. It definitely doesnt deserve the hate I've been hearing

I liked that I could understand everyone's perspective. Everyone had their reasons to believe what they believed whether it was for Arishem's mission or against it and they all made sense. Ikaris was the main antagonist, but like all good "villains" he had a good reason. To him, everyone else was betraying their mission to help the Celestials create new life and he was just following his principles.

@@memedchenille8564 Nah. He's definitely right. The eternals were not supposed to get attached to planet earth. Ajak lead the eternals to do the opposite of the mission: get attached. She wanted to go against her design, her creator. Us being human thus wanting the world to remain doesn't make anyone willing to destroy it automatically wrong. Earth was simply in the food chain.

I think your review is spot on. It was an entertaining watch but it had too many short comings to make it a truly good movie. I have watched a lot of reactors review this movie like the Reel Rejects, Blind wave, the Normies and so on, who I like a lot. Ok I’m late, I know, but from what I know of the comics. Yes Star Fox is Thanos’s brother. However Thanos was born with the deviant gene, which is why he looks the way he does (however in the comics, Thanos and the deviants looks didn’t differ as much as they do in the movies.) However his brother Eros is the human like child of his parents (aka did’nt have the deviant gene) and is an Eternal. Listen, comics are bananas and sometimes you just gotta go with the flow. Also Harry Styles makes and amazing Eternal. Also, the voice at the end is the voice of Blade. Dane Whitman is the Black Knight in the comics.

The MCU didn’t establish that but Thanos is purple BECAUSE he has Deviant genes in the comics. That would make him a target of the Eternals but since they didn’t mention it, it just adds another layer of discrepancy between the MCU and the Marvel comics.

Actually Nikki when you think about it Thanos isn't team Ikaris he's team Sersi. Just went about it differently. He destroyed half the population which limits the amount of intelligent life the celestial can feed on to grow, which stops the emergence. He did this to planets because of what happened to his own. Thanos is also an eternal, from Titan. IDK kinda makes sense to me

in the comics there's a whole bullshit of Thanos being a deviant and everything. but I think they will simplify and say that Starfox is an adopted brother.
