Where to start. This piece brings back so many memories for me. Memories of discovering Final Fantasy Piano collections for the first time back in 2003 or so, and then obsessively searching for new sheets to print out and learn. This track, often times just called "Eternity" was one of the most popular FF tracks back in its day (over a decade ago), and probably the most recognizable from FFX-2. Do you remember my original cover from 2008? We've come a long way since then, haven't we? This new arrangement of Eternity has sections from the piano collections arrangement, but overall it is a new take on this old classic.

Also obsessively searching for sheets of all the piano collections and then finding your original video for this piece and falling in love with your performances. I am moved to tears by this. It's not just the nostalgia, I've seen many covers of this song, but never such an incredible interpretation of it before. I am not a musician and I don't know the proper terms to express, but the way some segments were played with room to breathe and others played with such an intensity, the added iterations, the combined melodies, and most of all the way you play this so delicately and so passionately, gentle, but strong. This is masterful. This feels like the tide, like night and day, like all 4 seasons. If you are still checking these comments, I would be honored for you to know how grateful I am to you for this experience, this is deeply meaningful to me. Thank you.

Wow, that was surreal... you're one of the first channels I ever watched, and this is an all-time favourite song of my childhood. And I had almost forgotten about this piece for years, as well as (sadly) your channel. Man, I can relate to the many people in the comments who have said this hit like a nostalgia truck. I remember when I first heard Kyle's cover of Passion from Kingdom Hearts and I first met one of your celtic music compilations. Music from both of you guys has been a part of my journey these last 10 years, and I can even associate individual songs to key periods of my life; what a priviledge it has been. Isn't it strange? I mean the feeling of Nostalgia, you're somehow very happy, but also sad that those times are gone. But the moment we have experienced what we now remember wasn't that special for us after all, we surely enjoyed it but there is no emotional comparsion to what we feel when we hear or see something that we've experienced back then. I remember listening to Kyle's first cover of this when I was 14. Whenever I was stressed or melancholic, I would listen to this. It's such a beautiful, hopeful piece of music, and Kyle plays it so elegantly. I'm 21 now. There's a lot of memories in this piece for all of us.

The waves of emotions that this piece can inspire someone is truly magnificent. It is beyond mellifluous. Not me being 31 and smiling but lowkey tearing up at this. I LOVE this song. I still listened to the original version whenever I binge your vids. I remember coming across your channel in... 2005? 2006?? Idk. I still lived in Michigan at the time. All I know I was around 16 and I remembered yelling to my mom to come listen to this pianist bc he was really good and she thought I yelled something about a p*nis 😂 (it was your OG Red Skies vid). Then life went to shit, parental passed away. Moved to another state to finish out high school. Then moving 12 hrs away shortly after graduating high school. Now I'm 31 and livin in TX. And all throughout these years I still have Kyle Landry to fall back on and listen to. So yeah - Eternity. (Totally a song that brings back a lot of memories for me. lol. Including basically all of your other songs as well). EDIT: oh wow. Didn't realize you uploaded this on the March 16th. That was my dad's birthday.

This is by far my fav piece from the FF Piano Collections... and you absolutely played it masterfully... the crazy part about the original recording of this is the pacing it was played at. Even though you played it quick - the original is so fast. I love how you took a 6 minute song and turned it into 10 minutes. Gives me even more of the amazing stuff I love.

If you ever feel like it, i would recommend FF10. The world seems rich and lived in, with its dark duality, the story is heavy and warm with interesting main and side characters with development. It is my absolute FF game, and one of the best videogame stories in my opinion, even if it has a couple of tropes, localization issues and Japaneseyness. At the time it was my 4th FF game that i had played, so i am not overvaluing the first FF i ever played like some seem to do. (my first one was FF7) (not so much FF10-2, that tis track is from, to affected by the Charlie's angles era to not be overly cheesy) Warning: you will probably hate the protag and the stupid laugh of one of the main side characters in the beginning.

The sheet music for this piece is finally available on Music Notes! Kyle, since you put this video up 2 years ago I have been obsessed. It is my favorite piano solo of all time. However, I think we must not forget that there are helpless children and women who are sacrificed in the shadow. Those who have power must use that power for the helpless. I think so. Power without justice is powerless, and justice without power is also powerless. Justice can change from one position to another, but I think the definition of justice should protect the weak. And if this chain of tilting the interests of one's own country for the underprivileged and the world begins, a wonderful world like this beautiful tone will come.

Dude, here is me, 14 years old, grinding the internet to find every single Final Fantasy piano collection sheet music to bring them back to my piano teacher to learn them all. FFX and FFX-2 are my absolute favorites too, and I fell in love with Besaid Island and People from the North Pole. These final fantasy piano pieces have a special place in my heart! From the moment you recorded the first cover of Eternity and my friend Patrick linked me to your channel, I found myself listening to it over my surround sound in my apartment. I’d lay on the couch in the dark in my living room and imagine scenes before id write them for my book. Many of the songs you would play id used as background music for emotional inspiration while writing scenes. You indeed have come so far. I think we all have, and it is such a gift to me that you revisited this memory, as many people I have loved are no longer here for this version, but for some reason, this brings back the feelings that they are indeed here in the moment. Having just come across your existence recently, I admittedly have not been able to get your music and talent out of my head. There has barely been a day that's gone by in which your personal compositional take on so many already beautiful songs hasn't put my mind in a state of pure bliss, if even just for a fraction of a second as a brief thought. Seeing you actually play one of your pieces is just as stunning, if not more so due to the apparent presence of raw emotion in your physicality during your playing. The piano arrangement of this song, which I'd heard at a very young age, is what first caused me to fall absolutely, deeply in love with the piano, and it remains today as my favorite piano piece of all time. Your revision of it, though, achieved the impossible for me, as it has replaced the original arrangement of this song as my favorite piano piece of all time. You are nothing short of a prodigy as a pianist. Please don't ever, EVER, stop being a pianist. You were gifted such unfathomable talent being such that it would absolutely shatter my heart into fragments if you somehow came to strongly hate it. From the entirety of my heart and soul, thank you, Kyle Landry. Thank you for allowing myself, and so many others, the honor of experiencing your gift.

Thrilled you chose this! Also glad you didn't strictly use the piano collections version as a base for the arrangement. It is one of the few where I prefer the original. You took the best of both worlds! Love what you did around the 7:00 minute mark. The Piano Collections for Crest of the Wind ~ The Three Trails though, is one of my favorites of all time. We've yet to see you do that I think, and would love to hear it at some point!

The key signature has always scared me. Think I can manage now, though XD ! Really appreciate the comments though, I too am happy with this arrangement of Eternity! That part at 7:00 was basically improv on the improv of the official track haha

This didn’t pop up in my sub box but I found it randomly by checking around on RU-vid, I cried a little even before the song really started. This song and FFX-2 in general brings back so many emotions and memories that I cannot even begin to describe. It has long been one of my favourite FF games even when most people seem to hate it for using the FFX name I can’t help but love everything about the game. The sound track is probably one of my favourites and this song helps bring out the emotions I always get whilst playing this game. Whether it be nostalgia that I am feeling of another time in my life or my love for the game I can’t help but love this song and then your cover just makes it so much more for me... thanks for uploading this Kyle, I can’t wait to hear what other renditions you end up doing. If I could have one request though I would either be Besaid Island or Balamb Garden All the best

One of my first most profund memories I have with RU-vid is the previous version of Kyle playing this same song. I was addicted to FFX-2 OST, and I listened Eternity almost every day. It was, at a certain point, a way to keep going through a hard time. And when I found another person playing such a personal cover of this magical song, with so much skill, emotion and careness, I freaked out. I think it was the first time I understood the power of the Internet, the way it can connect people who vibes for the same thing in such a personal way, and the absolute magic than happens when you connect with that. This new version is a new torrent of emotions, nostalgia, tears and joy. Thank you Kyle. You are an important part of this magical technology that definitely changed us as human beings.

It sends chills across my body and feels like punch to the gut. This song pulls at my feelings. Emotion just bubbles up to the surface and I am helpless to it's power. It persuades me to feel and I am unable to deny it. How could I? Why would I even bother trying?

I was 13 when FFX-2 came out in the UK, I used to just listen to the start menu screen just to listen to the music. Brings back memories and tears, now that I am 31.
