I’ve been so obsessed with the hasan train/xQc debate and this one . I have coworkers who literally think like this and I poke so many holes in their arguments and they have zero rebuttal and I even let them try to take jabs at me to give the a false sense of security and still they don’t understand their own logic is extremely inconsistent. “ I want a bad bitch” *proceeds to show me a woman having fun at a club* “but these modern females don’t know what they want, I just need a traditional woman” then I explain to them that your probably not going to find that at the clubs and that they should probably go to church in the Midwest to find someone. The proceeds to tell me how “stupid females” are and I just get so annoyed with them and they constantly want to hang out with my when I clearly give them the cold shoulder. And I’m just thinking to myself these guys actually think they beat me in a debate. So one of them starting debating me and I rolled my eyes and told them many times how socialism works and they seemed to agree with me, but they still felt the need to tell me Hasan was a hypocrite, and I asked them why and (it’s funny cause this particular guys favorite philosopher is Peterson.) with the stupidest response is “ idk I just think he is” and I blew up and said” I’ve told you it’s not about equality of outcome it’s equality of opportunity” and he’s like “but isn’t that the same thing” and with a stern dad voice I said “are you stupid? You know words have meaning right? Outcome is how things turn out, and opportunity gives you the ability to reach certain outcomes, of course it’s not pure equality but when I say equality I mean people having free: healthcare, education, affordable housing, the essentials to life cause right now we don’t have basic needs covered for everyone. And it’s not equality of outcome because if someone wanted to be a baseball player and someone wanted to be a custodian then of course their outcomes wouldn’t be equal” and this man gave me the biggest “ehh I don’t know about that” and I just said, “ your actually just stupid” and my nearby coworkers from their cubicles starting laughing. Man that felt so good after being ganged up multiple times to have people on my side felt sooooi good and this reminds me of that. We really need to start being more vocal these people are real and they don’t want to move and inch from their position, be patient and kind and if they still don’t want to move and inch just fucking let them know.
