I know a lot of people are sad about this but I do think you should take it down the whole point of the channel was so that we would only have memories to look back on and that was the only thing that Ethan and mark wanted and I think it’s only fair since they worked so hard for a whole year to make content for us everyday not to mention they had their own channels to keep up with as well so please take it down
The real funny bit is Mark being like "No, you were on the right track..." After that first misshape Ethan gave, like it was gonna be a quick bit (when in reality if you probably removed the editing it was probably 10 minutes long).
They thought, we wouldn't sit, and wait, and enjoy every moment of the original. But dear Baby JESUS, were they wrong. Now, we YEARN for the original 13 minutes of him struggling with the Saute Pan synonym. What a Year, What a Journey.
It cracks me up that he really could have stopped at griddle. It means the same thing as skillet. But his pride was on the line, he _had_ to figure it out, haha!
I like to think of it like my mouth is a door, it will ONLY accept the exact word which will complete the thought. The steel door slams and all thought is now on finding the correct word. Like a conveyor belt with a pass fail inspection system.

I stopped watching Unus Annus after the first 5-6 months of videos, convincing myself I didn't have enough time to watch all the ones I had missed, but I stayed subscribed to it. When about a month was left I decided to stay watching some of the videos that looked interesting. Once the "Accepting the Truth" video came out, it really hit me that the channel was going away, and that I really did have time. That 3 weeks I watched every video that I had missed and rewatched all the ones I had forgotten about, or just generally adored. When the livestream came, I knew I would never be able to see it again, so I managed to put everything aside to watch the full 12 hours. Because of this, Unus Annus taught me that not only do you have to remember you don't have unlimited time, but also that you still have time, and that's the important thing. I procrastinate, a lot, but this helped me realize that if I keep doing that, I'm going to miss out on some amazing opportunitys that I'll never get again
This kind of sounds like I'm attacking some of the people here, I fully trust that you didn't have time, I'm just saying that this is what I personally learned from the experience
ADHD moment I can say this because I was having just as hard as a time as Ethan was. I was like “oh come on he forgot the word for skittl- ….” That’s when I realized I didn’t know the word either
I realized I may have ADHD as I experience things related to ADHD on a daily basis but I know self diagnosing is not very good for ourselves so I've been waiting for a long time to go to a psychiatrist to check :] Also, in the process of watching the vid I also forgot the word skillet 😂

Honestly one of the most relatable things about Ethan is how he laughs wholeheartedly at his own adhd lmao. Like I think ever since I was little I learned to laugh at my own moments like this? I mean I remember I’d ask my mom to read my handwriting and laugh so hard I cried at my own spelling mistakes 😂😂
Everyone needs a friend like Mark - he does not give you an easy way out but keeps encouraging you to succeed on your own! He would make an amazing father.

Honestly this is just an absolute adhd mood and just reminds me of the time i forgot the word for ambulance and had to ask my mom over the phone after trying to remember the word for a good minute what the word for hospital taxi was again

I definitely knew the word at the beginning. But I somehow forgot it after hearing so many wrong attempts. I couldn't remember which one was the right one.

Fun fact: skiddle is how they say skillet in some northeastern parts of the us like Pennsylvania. I know this because I bullied my friend for making this same mistake until she told me that her parents were from Pennsylvania and they say it that way there.
