He has more than a little Waller in his playing. And he is indeed tapping with his wrong leg. A small miracle that you were able to exclude that heavy right foot, but then you've performed more miracles.
This played in the background during the opening of Woody Allen's "Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex". First time I ever heard it, and I thought it was brilliant.
