I lived in Durban years ago, what a beautiful place it was. I still have pics on the cable car & rikshas along the beach side. The hotels were booming, Joe Kools, Riptides, Cool Runnings... The aqaurium was world class. Peri peri pineapple 😋 I've returned in 2018. Took a flight from Cape Town at 6am, boarded a flight back same day at 5pm & cancelled the hotelstay, regardless of non refundable. A true pigsty it's become...
This should have been when the first illegal mechanics etc started. The bylaws have been there for ages. Every bylaw should be adhered to and there would be no downward spiral of Durban.The blame should Soley rest on the DBN metro police for this !

Hello Listening to the comment from Metro it does not make sense How come we Residents of Phoenix are struggling to get this illegal mechanics out of our Main roads Especially Fernham Drive which is near our Redfern Primary School This is a huge hazard to our motorist and even our scholars We have laid numerous complaints Either Metro is short staffed or nothing can be done because Metro only has one Roll back ( tow truck )
The streets in CBD you walk on the road because Vendors have taken over the sidewalks..by workshop the spar it stinks of piss. The dirt is full we need bins and teach people to throw rubbish in the bins. Get owners to pay huge fines for not maintaining their buildings. Can Metro go sort out the drug situation in point road. Deal with the illegal criminal elements there and in South Beach. Can Metro explain why Cockle Jack's on Wosley Road is allowed to to play loud music till early parts of the morning. Numerous complaints to Metro but this still continues. Why? There are bylaws but Cockle Jack's seems to be above the law. Why has Metro failed to deal with the owner? These mechanics are wrong but they soft targets compared to Cockle Jack and the drug situation. Show some muscle and sort the tral criminals
How do one complain about motor mechanic that works on the residential roads? The whole roads are broken cars and ones to be fixed. This is going on since COVID started and the authorities have not clamped down on them. Our road has been taken over by these mechanics 😢

It not only Mechanics it every business department on building, technical and money just being put in Shoprite pay 10Rand and SARS attach us that do the rules and I have a friend from Zimbabwe he have a business he up and down to Zim legally pay everything I pay he rent a place so I don't hate Other I hate someone not from here come to eat my blood
