In those days, that was the price of a stamp. Many things cost more now than they did in the days when this video was made. The reason why is called inflation. Also, if they had made all stamps "Forever" stamps before ZIP codes were introduced, you wouldn't know the price of stamps at the time when this video was made because there are no longer numbers on stamps anymore.
