I am 70 and black metal is my favorite genre ...Electric era Miles Davies and black metal is my favorite ...Burzum, Paysage d'Hiver, Darkthrone, Drudkh, Dissection, Emperor. Mayhem, Agaloch, etc...
I can see your point. I'm not 70 but my favoured genres are jazz/fusion and bm/dm. I like Agalloch, Emperor, Wolves in the Throne Room, Der Weg Einer Freiheit, Panoptycon, Ulcerate, old Opeth, White Ward and many others. This ES is just wonderful 🔥
I'm 57 years old and only a few years ago did I start to understand and like Black Metal. I love music in general but Metal is my favourite. This album is truly epic and one of my favourite albums of this year...🤘🤘🤘 (Thanks to BMP Channel for all the great music!)
Hey man it's awesome you've learned that you love black metal--and so what if you've only found out about it. I've liked black metal since I was 12 (I'm 36 now), and what you're saying just goes to show that metal isn't something you "grow out of"--it's something you grow into!
@@mattheyn6374 I’d say this is a sub genre being atmospheric black metal. Summoning and Caladan Brood got me into this. Bathory and Barzum etc with deliberately awful production are the proper Black Metal and I’m not a fan!
HE IS BACK!! > I might as well make this official as opposed to teasing - Ethereal Shroud has returned. >Trisagion was exhausting - emotionally, physically and in every other way conceivable and I didn't know what that felt like until I went through it. I just felt 'done'. After having some time to wipe the slate clean and refocus, I feel like I have more to say and I know where to take myself artistically. >Being in a band on your own is scary and it means you're beholden to your own irrational emotions and my emotions then were simply "get the fuck out of this" because of how detrimental it was to my psyche. But I realise how good it has been in the longrun, and it far outweighed the negatives. >New material won't be 'soon' - I have another record to work on first and I want the next record to be the best it can possibly be. I'm not aiming to top Trisagion - I simply want to create something equally as heartfelt and meaningful. Perhaps the rest will simply fall into place.
noctus is one of the most down-to-earth guys out there and his project truly touched me. i'm glad he's taken the time to recoup from what was even without his admission an obviously taxing album; Trisagion is one of the most apparent labours of love and despair in all of metal.
My heart and soul are made happy on hearing this. Trisagion means the world to me. It was there for me in some very specific situations - pain, loss, despair, terror and uncertainty - and it was there for me. It helped me through. Its kind of hard to explain, but it has a huge connection and meaning to me. So I'm very happy to heart this news.
37 year old person here. I love most music genres but always have gravitated toward rock. I listened to metal a bit in high school and here-and-there from friends. I recently dove into the world of metal and wow.... this genre has so much to offer and is very powerful. This album in particular I've shared with many people. This album is very powerful. I've listened on repeat while working for days. Hats Off to this band!
Rarely i find so fast and so big urge to order a record. Now i did. As a black metal musician and musician myself i find this album perfect. The pure emotion and feeling that runs through the album is just unbelievable. Thank you BMP and ES.
Black metal is all about melody...black is white and white is black...keep the balance..and eternity is await for you..may all your dreams come true brothers and sisters.may the light guide all of you.
i mainly listen to 90s techno and hardcore but an enjoyer of all music. But this release right here has struck something deep within me. It has left me speechless and has been on a heavy rotation these last few weeks. Good Job ! and thank you for this timeless gift.
What an amazing album! I enjoyed it from the first introducing seconds, to the very end! Congratulations @DarkNoctus and thank you BMP for making us discover such great artists! Cheers from France
Discarnate is since a few weeks my most favorite release of 2021. I´m so happy the full album is not any short of epic BM awesomeness! Splendid release!
The Trisagion (Greek: Τρισάγιον; 'Thrice Holy'), sometimes called by its opening line Agios O Theos,[1] is a standard hymn of the Divine Liturgy in most of the Eastern Orthodox, Western Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, and Eastern Catholic churches.
well lets also not forget that despite this officially being the case he still had two other musicians playing with him, Richard Spencer on bass and John Kerr on drums
Great album but it’s a misconception that this was a one man project. There was one permanent member in the band but multiple temporary “members” helped him make this album
Today I found this project. And i searched on Facebook and got this: "I feel that now Trisagion has had the chance to hit the wider space, now is the best time to announce the following: Trisagion will be the final Ethereal Shroud album. This was planned from the beginning. I knew Trisagion would be the final work that I'd do as Ethereal Shroud. I'm thankful to those who have been aware but have respected my wishes to keep it secret and allow me the chance to announce this fact when I was ready. As a means of artistic expression, Ethereal Shroud has now said all it needs to say. I'm unsure what's next for me, but I'll keep you all updated here with what comes next artistically from me. With love, Joseph Hawker Ethereal Shroud 2013 - 2021" What the...?
@@angelo92977 wow this was 11 months ago! I love METAL. my fav bands currently. Ethereal shroud, Gaerea, ..and oceans, Celeste, amenra, der weg einer freheit. To name a few. Has been a great music journey so far
A black metal staple. Should be heard much more often. I've listened to thousands upon thousands of metal tracks from all around the world and I haven't seen anything as fantastic and of such quality as this piece of music right here. This is an exemplar of excellence in composition. Absolute adoration from Scotland.
@@korpurkorpur9655 Weird. You think that's overproduced? It was recorded at the legendary Abyss studios in Sweden. What do you mean by flat? What about the actual songwriting? That classic album is widely regarded as one of the best symphonic black metal albums of all time. Catchy melodies, great atmosphere and brilliant songwriting. Shagrath's voice is distinct and full of character. Each song is different. Rare in this genre. You should probably give it more of a chance.
Since it's not mentioned in the description - vinyl copies are on the way too from Throne Records, but are currently delayed sometime into 2022 due to the pressing plant backlogs (Edit - it's also been released in full on bandcamp early)
