This has become my go to channel for bringing me back to earth. Most RU-vidrs are posting click bait garbage. Ben keeps it real ALWAYS! This channel definitely helps me remove my emotions from my decisions in crypto.
Agreed. Same here. Ben is my GOTO, followed by George. You are SO right about the clickbait too. I'm new to this, so it took me a second to start weeding out the trash.
@@dudedude949 hi sorry to ask just someone with more experience then myself I have never bought eth but apparently should have it in my portfolio I was hoping someone could advise when a good time to buy in is...
@@nikkicrystal6922 buy it now. people dont even know that ethereum is gonna come out with staking, you literally earn money by holding ethereum and not selling. so that will encourage people to hold ethereum and drive up the price higher an higher. they earn more ethereum which they hold to earn more ethereum even faster and faster. and if you need dollars you can easily turn a bit into dollars at an atm machine or your phone. Ethereum staking is gonna change the world. Just sit back hold ethereum in your wallet and earn money.
I feel like you and Crypto Jebb are being very conservative with Ethereum this bull cycle. A lot of people, including me, think ETH could do what Bitcoin did last bull cycle.
I recently started buy a couple 100 dollars worth of Ethereum and will keep buying and holding. Unfortunately I won't become rich off of ethereum but hopefully it will give me a nice chunk to invest in a new more efficient crypto in the future probably years down the road.
Subbed and turned on notifications before ever watching a on THIS channel, in the middle of watching Ben on Altcoin Daily. This (all the TA stuff, not just ETH stuff) is the information I've been looking for.
"nothing wrong with taking profits" I needed to hear this, I've had to sell some lately but was feeling like I should hold on longer, but I've been bag holding since 2018
Not going straight to 10K is preferable. My plan is to sell along the way during the current rise and then buy when it dips (if it does) before it hopefully then launches up to 10K.
Ben try the chart of the cycles comparing them from the break of the previous ATHs. This negates the impact of the Corona dump which was a Black Swan event and presented a very unnatural market movement. Just to have a different perspective.
EIP 1559, wrapped up into the London Hard fork SHOULD be a majorly bullish update. Moving from POW (proof of work) to POS (proof of stake), dramatically bringing down gas fees paid to miners.
@@daanvalk8741 I do that for other small Alt but not for BTC or ETH - strategy that paid off very well for me... everyone have their strategy.... I have stopped doing what everyone is saying and follow my own strategy and since I have been doing that, it has been way better!
@@daanvalk8741 Nobody can have a precise timing to sell and buy back cheaper, as a matter of fact eventually you'll lose. If you believe in the underline technology, holding long term out performs day tradings
Are you taking into account EIP 1559 being deployed in July? Once we start burning ETH, we are going to see a massive supply shock. In theory, its like having 3 bitcoin halvings in one.
I've started to invest in cryptocurrency 3 weeks ago. Didn't heard about other coins, other then Bitcoin and ethereum. My first investment was in Xpr and dogecoin. For now is good and I understand is a very risky investment but I keep an eye on the whales. When they start selling I'm right behind.
Great content as always. But Ben, Don't you think that this long summer vacation will be postponed this year to maybe September, October due to the EIP1559?
you don't think eip1559 is gonna have a big impact on price of Eth in July? historically the summer has been bland for Eth sure but not taking a major fundamental change into consideration is kind of odd
I have ptsd bad Ben, really bad, I have 10 ethereun and I sold 4 of them at 3k as soon as I saw it make the slightest move down...I remember that time in dec/Jan, I had all the money I'd ever need and one morning, it was gone, the next Eben more gone...just kept thinking "oh it always comes back"...then I had a dead cat bounce and I figured I was good....and then fown it went, I finally sold at a profit probably 20% of what I had...im more terrified of pumps than I am of dips...I know what what do during a dip, I don't know whrn to take profit during a pump
Lmao I am also on the same boat, when the market dips I am all chilled out and know exactly what to do but when it's pumping I get very very nervous and tense
You need to change your mentality when making profit. Hey nothing wrong selling at 3k, yeah you earn less ,but you took less risk and still ended with a profit right? And you still left with 6coins so continue with the tsunami. So why worry?
Doesn't hurt to take profit along the way. Don't beat yourself up just because the price had a slight increase. Just wait for the next dip to make it back!
Hey Ben! Can you do a video that talks about the end of the bull cycle and beginning of the bear cycle for ether? Would help us know when to jump out. Looks like it’s different for ether than Bitcoin with all the upcoming tech updates.
My money is on LINK and ETH. I agree I want to be staking long term to get passive income - long term. So I am trying to do dollar cost averaging but it seems impossible now that both are surging. Everyone says don't buy the top but if it's rising everyday it's intimidating but exciting.
If you plan on holding it for a long time then It's not a bad idea to buy whenever you have some money to spend. Not recommended to go all in rn. Wait for the dip 😄
What yall think of this play: Selling ETH at $4k expecting 50% correction. Then when some sort of correction happens, rebuy ETH and hold till long term till $10k?
Isn't this cycle ending earlier than the last cycle based on the timing of the halving? That put the sideways move of ETH starting in May. Thanks for the great content.
I dont get your 90 roi day chart. Wouldnt a low 90 roi value in june suggest the price falls flat statistically + historically 3 months up to june or btw starting from june, not IN june necessarily?
Thanks for your great analysis, as usual. However I think comparing this cycle with the past ones is not 100% correct, as now the demand profile is completely different and the supply profile will (if June update doesn't delay again) change drastically too. So basically it's a bit like comparing lemons and oranges.
Agree, much more people know about crypto know then ever before. It’s whole new ball game now, I was never interested in crypto until this yr cuz you can’t avoid it anymore and I don’t think we know where it’s gonna go from here.
Does this analysis factor in EIP1559 the complete fundamentals of ETH are going to change on July 14th causing it to become deflationary and stakers earning 25% APYs that’s the bullish case for a 10k ETH
What about a video please comparing HODLing (BTC, ETH, ADA), during this parabolic run and selling at different higher points.... VS not selling.. riding through a final dip which may not be as huge as past crashes… And waiting for the next parabolic cycle in 3-4 years. Which would be more profitable… Not paying tax because you’re holding.. 🙏🏼😊
I appreciate these academic exercises. I think what drives the meteoric price action followed by mediocre price action is that there are many new people to the space and many more investment options available. I think we are more likely to see behavior like Bitcoin in the last 3 months going forward than we are to see Ethereum continue its tsunami. I say this simply due to the fact that once people see that we are no longer putting in big gains, they have limited resources, they put their money elsewhere. All this talk about institutional money may have been limiting how far Bitcoin falls, but it has done nothing to consistently reach new ATHs. I feel the same is true now for Ethereum, as we may be more or less done here for the next three or four months at least. As an investor, my goal is to find the best ROI both near and longterm and it may be time to find a new wave, like Chainlink. I'm sure many other investors are or will be thinking the same.
It's not a dip, it's a stagnation of increase. First few months ETH grows exponentially but during the cooldown phase May-Aug, dont expect your increase to be as high as Jan-March. An example is if you put 100 in Jan, it will increase to 300 by March but if you put in Money in May it will only increase to like 150 by July. Hope that makes sense. But if you look at December, you're bound to get those increases so it's better to just HODL through
My wife, when I first invested a small amount in crypto from my personal account. 'it's your money, use it as you want' My wife, when I showed her the gains Ben has helped deliver. 'So, what should WE spend it on?'
