Great guy from the glorious good old world.. Oh'..I love Jima. Beautiful town, beautiful people. It was in the early 70s I worked and lived there for 15 years. By then Jima was the 3rd major city in Ethiopia next to Addis (Asmara, Dire dawa Jimma). The most harmonious place in Ethiopia. Even Italians loved thier stay in there, named Jimma as "little Rome" ...Piccolo Rome.
Brilliant . A humble gentleman like his grandfather Mohammed Bindawel known otherwise as Negus (King) Aba Jiffar . Wish H.E discussed his brother/uncle Chinito. I suppose the interviewer didn't have knowledge of it. Unless they intentionally avoided it.
What a matured person. He is history by him self. I hope today's leaders learn some moral authority and leadership and what Ethiopia means. A lot to be learned from Aba Biya.
The interviewer wants him to talk only issues of her view points. She didn’t allow him to explain about General Mengisu’s and Garmame Neway’s place in the Ethiopian politics. She still maintains high value of the feudal system. A system responsible for the crisis we are in until today.
Aba biya thank you for the history. You are the part of Ethiopian history but how come you go down and became O.L.F? Which represents only Oromo people.
My reflection after watching part 2: I personally have learned a lot about the founding fathers and the foundation of OLF. It seems complicated for some Ethiopians to listen to the history of OLF. Yet, they are unaware about their hypocrisy and what they hold to be “the Ethiopian history” is mostly a painful memory for most non-Amhara nations and nationalities.
