When this war was fought Ethiopia was still recovering from the derg, and still today the derg haunts us. It was 3 million vs 100 million, it was about the amount of military troops and Ethiopia didn't have much trained soldiers in the 90s. Eritrea still has more people in their military today, and we still won the war!

You are confusing the numbers. Both nations lost some 120,000 soldiers combined. Eritrea started the war. Ethiopia won the war but Eritrea won in the courts which supported Eritrea's regional claim that Badme belongs to them. Peace.
