Brother we have also Afro Pakistani in karachi their ancestor migrated in 15 or 16 century they are muslims and non muslims both some of them they worship crocodile, and we accepted all they are hard working nation, good or bad is every where , its not about color or race! Salaam from Pakistan.

This is a very good video indeed. As a Pakistani-American, I totally understand racism within our own community. People seriously need to educate themselves more on Islam and racism so we can eliminate this issue once and for all. May Allah bless you both...!!!

I am Black and my family do not like East Indians or Pakistanis at all and they would disown me if I dared to bring home an Indian pr Pakistani woman. It’s absolutely fascinating how the people go through the same exact things just differently. Me being the only person in my family with foreign roots I was the odd ball out. My brother also did have children with a Mexican lady and I said to him that it’s important to them to know Spanish etc. I am really glad I watched this video I learned soooo much from you two. Ooh i know exactly how it used to feel growing up mixed Saphian, i had the same problem having to explain what am i where am from and still not being accepted both sides where i come from. My mom is Indian Punjabi and dad Ethiopian Habesha and now am married to a Dutch guy and living in the Netherlands and my kids are having same dilemma as me🤦‍♀️. Theres actually alot of african origin pakistanis in Pakistan who have been there for centuries and even a black minister in the government. MashaAllah this was a really interesting video, colourism is probably one of the biggest issues Pakistanis have towards other cultures. It would be interesting to hear more about your dad's revert story. Were there any prejudices your parents faced as couple? Related to this video a lot, growing up as a Pakistani in Britain, I've always felt 'third culture', not completely asian nor british

I being Pakistani have seen &faced racism from Black people many times specially from Jamaicans & Ghanians.Racism has become reverse .The real racists always get away with it while those who face it just blame each other. I sometimes even have lost some of my job's due to racism & reverse racism was the reason in some cases.In Islam all humans are equal.Living an equal life amongst multi cultures isn't an easy task specially in professional life.

Salam, as a Pakistani with Tanzanian roots. My maternal grandmother father hid his Tanzania roots due to colourism pressure and racism. It such a shame what he had to go through. Love watching you guys x

Mashallah....I like your accent sister. I'm from Trinidad (West Indies). Born and raised a Muslim in Trinidad. I moved to Canada 5 years ago and even though I'm the same skin shade as the majority of Muslims here (in my area) I face racism because I'm West Indian and not East Indian. Unfortunately it's everywhere but InShaaAllah us, the youngsters and the generations to come will practice what our Prophet (PBUH) abolished 1400+ years ago.

This was lovely to watch. My son is bangladeshi/Nigerian. He has no links to his Nigerian side as he does not see his dad much. I am always worried about how he will feel when he is older and makes friendship circles. And when he realises that he is around all his bangladeshi family but is the only black one.

I'm Nigerian. If his dad is bad news, don't get him involved but if the family is good natured, it would be nice to introduce him to them. Trust me, Nigerian families love their kids even if they don't approve of the marriage itself. Good luck

Okay the sister is sugar coating things a bit. Mashallah her parents are that way. But a lot of parents from different backgrounds are not like that. So it is crucial to ask any potential who is interested in you if their family is prejudiced/ down right racist. You will end up getting hurt and it can affect your iman because it can be a serious trial. All muslims are not automatically welcome/open so to my African sisters be careful and protect your heart.

It is definitely important to ask that question, I agree! It was something Sufyan asked me early on. & I wasn't sugar coating it. The question was about my experience, and my grandparents etc genuinely aren't racist alhamdulilah. They had no experience of even knowing anybody not white or Asian because of where they live and so didn't know if they needed to be aware of culture differences, but that was all. My gran asked me about his deen only ☺️. I don't have a lot of Pakistani culture around me but mentioned the kinds of racism that I know exist r.e. caste, colorism etc. Maybe we speak more in-depth on that aspect in another video, in shaa Allah. ☺️
