Business Intelligence is a tool that will convert the data into useful information , Dataware house is a denormalised database which is used to store historical data. On the top of DWH we apply BI to get useful insights from transformed data. Correct me if I'm Wrong

+kalyan chakravarthyI dont know that I'd call Business Intelligence a "tool", it's more of a discipline or practice. The terms are largely interchangeable in my experience (Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence). Some would argue that Data Warehousing is the capture of data in the warehouse, whereas Business Intelligence is the practice of presenting that data to users via reports, dashboards, self service analytics and other means. I don't disagree with this definition either, but I don't follow it rigorously in my own conversations.

You are absolutely right Ross. BI as a whole is a package of ETL, Warehouse structures and reporting tool on top of it... these three are bare bones of complete BI Solution.

Actually, a DW is the end product of a data journey What Organizations, Institutions and Companies are now implementing are 1) Source to Data Lakes (Exact Copies of the Source) 2) Data Lakes to Staging (Prepare the data) 3) Staging to DW

Confirming dimensions are dimension table that combine or the ones that provide access two fact tables through them, but this was explained in very round about way and it was not clear
