Chrome effluent ko effluent treatment plant mein treat karne ke liye aam taur par **sodium bisulfite (NaHSO₃)** ka upyog kiya jata hai. Yeh chemical hexavalent chromium (Cr⁶⁺), jo atyadhik vishaila hota hai, ko trivalent chromium (Cr³⁺), jo kam vishaila hota hai, mein badal deta hai. Yeh reaction aam taur par amliya vatavaran mein hoti hai, aur iske baad trivalent chromium ko chromium hydroxide (Cr(OH)₃) ke roop mein precipitate kiya ja sakta hai, jise solution ke pH ko chuna ya kisi anya kshar ke saath badhakar kiya jata hai.
Sir, After neutralization using lime, primary settler require or not ? If yes, then what dosing requires? If not, then can it disturb MLSS in aeration tank ?
After primary treatment using lime alum and poly electrolyte it causes caugulation and flocculation which we must have to settle down in primary settler is required otherwise it will create turbidity and increase the suspended solids
Sir ,hamara solvent plant hai ,tho use hum effluent ko neutral kar ke wo UASB Ko feed karte hai ,lekin uske baad hamara UASB distrub ho jaata hai,tho hame alag si solvent treat karne ka solution bataye
Solvent ko UASB me feed krne se phle... pretreatment krna jaruri hai... Oil grese ko remove krna jaruri h...COD ko balance krna jaruri h...Aap mujhe feeding effluent ke parameters bataen
Sir According to my experience I have seen more importance are given for production and very less importance given for waste water or etp and this section r directly related to public n environment
We just getting too much foaming in Ctech basin nowadays. Just in a 10mins off short time. Please can we have a conversation on this. I'm tired of taking care of this situation. And actually right now due to covid lots of companies are stopped. So we're getting just 14-15 MLD water.

The formation of jelly-like biomass and white foaming in an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) can be indicative of various issues in the treatment process. Here are some possible reasons and solutions: **Possible Reasons:** 1. **Filamentous Bacteria Overgrowth:** - **Reason:** Overgrowth of filamentous bacteria can lead to the formation of a jelly-like biomass. - **Solution:** Adjust the microbial population by optimizing aeration, nutrient levels, and pH. Consider using specific microbial products to control filamentous bacteria. 2. **Nutrient Imbalance:** - **Reason:** Imbalance in nutrient levels, particularly nitrogen and phosphorus, can contribute to biomass formation and foaming. - **Solution:** Conduct a nutrient analysis and adjust the nutrient dosing to achieve a balanced nutrient ratio. 3. **Aeration Issues:** - **Reason:** Inadequate or uneven aeration can lead to localized anaerobic conditions, causing foaming. - **Solution:** Optimize aeration systems, check diffuser efficiency, and ensure proper mixing to maintain aerobic conditions. 4. **pH Fluctuations:** - **Reason:** pH variations can impact microbial activity and favor the growth of certain organisms. - **Solution:** Monitor and control pH levels within the optimal range for biological treatment. 5. **Organic Overloading:** - **Reason:** High organic load can overwhelm the treatment system, leading to biomass overgrowth and foaming. - **Solution:** Ensure that the influent organic load is within the designed capacity of the ETP. Consider adjusting the flow or implementing pretreatment if necessary. 6. **Presence of Surfactants:** - **Reason:** Surfactants in the influent can contribute to foam formation. - **Solution:** Identify and minimize the source of surfactants. Consider using antifoaming agents if necessary. **Actions to Take:** 1. **Microbial Analysis:** - Conduct a microbial analysis to identify the composition of the biomass and determine if specific types of bacteria are causing issues. 2. **System Optimization:** - Optimize operational parameters, including aeration, pH, and nutrient levels, based on the characteristics of the wastewater. 3. **Foam Control Agents:** - Consider using foam control agents or antifoaming agents to address excessive foaming temporarily while underlying issues are resolved. 4. **Regular Monitoring:** - Implement a regular monitoring program to assess the performance of the ETP and make adjustments as needed.

Tube settler retention time refers to the duration that water remains in contact with the tube settlers within a settling tank. It is an important parameter in the design and operation of sedimentation systems, as it directly affects the efficiency of solid particle removal. The retention time is typically calculated based on the flow rate and the effective settling area of the tube settlers. To calculate the tube settler retention time, you need to follow these steps: 1. Determine the flow rate: The first step is to determine the flow rate of water entering the settling tank. This can be measured directly using flow meters or estimated based on the design parameters of the system. 2. Calculate the effective settling area: The effective settling area is the total surface area of the tube settlers that is available for sedimentation. It can be calculated by multiplying the total number of tube settlers by their individual surface area. 3. Calculate the volume of water in contact with tube settlers: Multiply the flow rate by the effective settling area to obtain the volume of water in contact with tube settlers per unit time. 4. Calculate the retention time: Divide the volume of water in contact with tube settlers by the total volume of water in the settling tank to obtain the retention time. The formula for calculating tube settler retention time can be expressed as: Retention Time = (Effective Settling Area × Flow Rate) / Total Volume It is important to note that this calculation assumes ideal conditions and does not take into account factors such as short-circuiting, hydraulic inefficiencies, or variations in influent characteristics. Therefore, it provides an estimate rather than an exact value. In practice, it is recommended to conduct pilot-scale tests or use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate and refine the calculated retention time for specific applications.
Maine B.Sc chemistry ke baad MBA Operation kiya. Aur 2.8 years ka experience bhi hai as a ETP plant supervisor.. (ASP & DAF) me....... Mujhe Kya krna chahiye kya isi field me mai jyada se jyada paise kma skta hoon kya...... Kya mujhe dusri country me jana chahiye

Hi Ajay, Sabse pahle to aapko aapke aeration tank ka hydraulic retention time nikalna Hoga. hydraulic retention time ke bare mein janne ke liye aap channel per uploaded video hydraulic retention time dekh sakte ho. Uske bad aapko aapke plant capacity ke hisab se jo bhi aap equalization tank se aeration tank mein feeding karte ho uss feeding ko aapko 24 ghante ke hisab se barabar Bhag Mein bantana Hoga. let suppose Agar aap 24 KL feed karte hain to aapko 24 ghante se use divide karna hoga. yani ki aapko per Ghanta 1KL feed karna hoga.
