I was at the mall recently and I saw AI “art” being sold. And I can hardly browse Etsy for prints without being shown AI images. It is insane that this is allowed.
I'm not concerned about anyone who involved in the art field because we can easily spot AI arts but my experience with dealing with regular people out there, they can't see what is wrong with AI arts. They even start using AI arts for their profile pictures and when asked they just go "because it look beautiful". It just so sad to see this happening.
Hey 😂❤ I am one of those regular people Out there 😂 mind If I ask you for a favour? I wanted to Order some custom emotes on Etsy would you mind me showing you the artist so you can check if its AI? I feel like I wouldnt be able to tell If it was and I dont want AI "Art" 😱
yeah and the fact that the shops stay up for so long is even worst. My first red flag of ai is when they have major discounts like 70% off, or if they offer a lot of different art styles that look like nothing they would draw compared to other pieces. Sadly people who are awful are gonna take advantage of something that they can profit from.
Not only is the first character ai art, but also stolen from Touhou. I don't think you are allowed to sell models or anything like that of copyrighted characters
And you cant even sells that AI PNG-tuber model without a licensed approval, because its litterally Remilia Scarlet, a character from the Touhou project game series☠
Touhou Project is really lax and accessible in terms of fanmade merch, sucks to see people misusing it. This only violates the credit and distribution rules (from my understanding).
It violates the attribution and credit rule of Touhou fanmades. Touhou is used under CC-BY-SA and by not admitting its Remilia Scarlet, she violates the By Attribution rule and ZUN with his Japanese Army has the right to take it down. This is why every Touhou stuffs people seen has credits in the last page. Touhou veterans and ZUN can smell bullsh*t from a mile away due to how interconnected and close knit and creative the community are. Touhou Station uses Yukkuri fanmade for their avatars. But everytime people uses a model, someone behind the scene always asks where and who drawn it.
Etsy lost my store and support when they started allowing it to become Ebay. Why am I competing not with artist, but with wholesale resellers??? And that was before the AI shit storm that started taking over along side it.
ppl trying to pass off ai as human made and dont even try to hand-touchup on the mistakes and expect us to believe it are very weird to me i dont understand how they think that their ai stuff is actually handmade passing
@@antonia5619You don't think, you know. Okay, that sounded like an insult, my bad. What I mean is that that is really Remilia and that you were correct.
This really pains me as someone who sells hand drawn vtuber models and other assets on Etsy myself. It sucks to see AI slop shops like this making so many sales and being at the top of the search results when I and the other artists I know who hand make our models and assets are drowned out of the algorithm because we can't upload 10 listings a day like these guys who are just pressing a button and generating multiple pieces of AI slop. I firmly believe that AI listings should have an AI tag visible on the thumbnails/listing images so potential shoppers can see what they're getting into from the start.
Yeah, and that's bare minimum. Ironic that Etsy has ads about "AI can make things, but it won't have a human touch. That's why you should use Etsy" when they do jack shit about AI and resells
I keep getting ads on Pinterest for ai garbage. I personally wouldn't buy a premade vtuber/pngtuber, unless I absolutely trust the artist. I would check the description and reviews before buying anything. I've seen ai adoptables possibly being resold several times, like it's a gacha game...which is NOT how adoptables work. Most people do not want to co-own. Imagine co-owning a character with like 15 people.
Heey. Would you mind checking Out an Etsy Artist for me? I cant find weird Details but its different styles and idk I have a weird Feeling with how she Texts, Id want someone who's experienced with stuff Like that to Look at her Shop before I buy I Just dont know who to ask 😱
@@eliteunicorns hm.. yeah idk 😭 it Just suuucks, I just want some cute emotes that are affordable I already have all the ideas in my head I dont wanna Play Sherlock for every Shop I find 😭😭 and its hard to Tell for me. What originallx Made me suspious wasnt even her art, it was the fact she barely asked any questions, her texting was weird. Idk... Can you recommend an artist who does custom emotes that are definitelly not AI?
@@justsomeone980 I completely understand the struggle. I wish finding real artists was easier. I don't know many but I do know a few including lauritarpg, because Kat did a video about her. Eta, I lied apparently Lauritarpg does do custom emotes according to her etsy bio. I thought she didn't. There's also Seosaur, but idk if her commissions are open. I wish I had more suggestions, because I love promoting my favorite artists. I would suggest lookijg at other streamer's emotes and finding out who they get their emotes from.
the worst thing is the majority of AI scams cost hundreds on etsy. Because well.. "high quality self made product". I know etsy is generally more on the expensive side, because obviously you're buying from small businesses, individuals and not amazon. But this exact concept is missused for crap like this, including mass production with prints on it. Like no, I'm not going to buy your bottle from Aliexpress with a print for 40 bucks.
fr. honestly I don't use Pinterest much anymore for references. thankfully my general google image search isn't just AI garbage when I look things up so I'm mostly relying on that, and jump from image to image to get an even better reference, or similar picture I could use. that or free resources on pexels, unsplash etc.
If you're using Google, using -"" excludes what's in the quotation marks. -"ai", -"stablediffusion", and -"midjourney" should block a few AI generated images. For Pinterest, go to setting and tune your home feed. Uncheck any AI images you brought up, and save some human made art to your pins. It should start showing more human made art, and less Ai images.
I dunno if YOU know this kat, but theres also a shit ton of drop shipper scams on etsy too, people passing off mass produced garbage as handmade, its been crazy. no surprise AI is taking off there too
Idk exactly what it is, but the AI images have such uncanny cleanliness that usually I can tell it is generated by a model. Yes, there are artists that have extremely clean art but still there is some life in it expressed through "happy accidents". However, I assume, for average person (who doesn't draw) it is difficult to see.
2:20 yeah! I do art since I was 1 and a half, I think that making hair strands blend is sometimes something that looks cool, so I may do it propositaly, or just end up doing it accidentally while rendering my realistic art (I don't use ai, my channel has speedpaints so I'm actually talking seriously here)
No. Using AI for personal use is completely fine. The issue with these AI usage is that they are scamming people by profiting off of AI and/or deceiving people by claiming that it is art that they made without AI.
I was looking on etsy recently and saw these really cute sunflower/other flower stickers, I almost got them but on further inspections and closer look at the stickers, some parts would just blend into each other, some things would go behind an object and not reappear. I was sad that it was ai because I thought it was really cute at first. I almost bought them if I didn't know what ai gets wrong
But what if we're not a beginner artist and we still make mistake like the ear thing you mentioned. Iv'e been drawing since I was 2 non stop and my art looks like something people would class as beginner artist.
She clarified that those errors are okay to make as an artist. But, this is clearly AI because their level of rendering doesn’t match their level of basic understanding of anatomy. People won’t accuse you of AI if it looks very beginner like.
1:00 WTF REMILIA also look at the bow on the side of her hat and look at her official design, it looks so weird to me why is there THREE FLAPS THINGIES when theres supposed to be two????? also another thing with the bow on her hat, its the wrong way. did she put her hat on incorrectly?? what
People will be using AI no matter how much people hate AI. The more I hear about AI the more I know that AI is not helping anyone but greedy people, but the only thing I can do is just NOT support AI. People have the right to use AI but the worst AI users can do is not say they are using AI and bluntly reference one artist. The internet and the world will be changing and sadly AI is being forced on us.
I make PNGtubers, almost no one draw an entier new piece, most of use use the same base and just draw different faces on, only if the prospective is different then we change it
I use ai to het out fit references out scenery ideas fo rmy artist, but I don't scam people out of thei money advertising hand drawn art and pngtubers. Thats scuzzy
8:14 this isn’t a original character. This is a character form Touhou most likely all they did is just get out for like bloody thing and put in the name of the character and boom I have that quite controversial opinion on this AI art is not that bad most people put it out to be like it can be good if you’re like doing it for fun or maybe give credit to the creator of yacht if it needs a sample only after the person which created the original art gives permission like no you can’t do that respect that just don’t do it. It really comes bad if they make AI art by getting a sample from another art without permission and claiming it as their owner that is where it becomes bad but with art things, I don’t really have a valid opinion since well I don’t really know that much about the community
oh, that's an indonesian ""artist"" :( , it has been a MAJOR problem in my country where almost everything is fucking AI. previously for the presidential campaign AI was used for it
I know this isn't related but you somehow got managed to get touhou hijack'd your video lol (The first one looks like Remilia Scarlet, OR IS REMILIA SCARLET)
Not really her subs keep going up. Plus u commenting and many other hate watching push her content out more to people she is still getting views and stuff. Even if the dislike to like rating are different her content still get pushed out either way. So she is gaining not losing at all.
@@tearie4150I am saying it just pushes her content out more to be honest. To either way she is getting the engagement. Plus some are just hate watching as well. It is a win win for her.
hello kat >: i hope youre doing okay on your vacation!! (assuming you're still out), i saw all tlhe drama about u and.. i hope youre okay. i would suggest to block rev imo, because he IS into lolis and doesnt think anything is wrong with them.. i liked his content before but then when it came to the whole nijisanji farming, loli drama, i just stopped. everyone and their MOTHER farmed on the whole nijisanji drama like.. so long ago.. harjehkjrhaek.. ALSO I GOT A JOB :D :D :D :D i really hope i can comission you in the future! your emotes are so cute and i love your silly art style
Sorry to tell you this way, but your disclaimers are bs, I don't mean it in a ride way but you just simple don't know. Bc your error is that you called "beginer" stuff to things that AREN'T beginer stuff... the hair strands connecting or "melting" to other hair strands IS WHAT ADVANCE ARTISTS DO... same with the hair strand getting thin and then wide, that's dinamic hair. the beginner thing would be to draw every strand the same thickness all along
not reallyyy it is a thing in perspective but many ppl treat it as something "flat" they dont shade it properly to create the depth needed for it to look elevated
It is aI art. There is different from being a beginner artist and just generate image from someone stolen art style or artists. Beginner artists are easily to get the details right than an ai generated image stolen from an artist art style.
@@Odd_Squirrelthat is fine if a beginner artist is learning how to render a drawing for the first time. That is easy to notice. But with ai it just some details mashed together to make art from an artist art style. Mostly ai is just trying to copy artists art style like rendering and shading. Which it will get messed up because the ai generator don’t know how to render properly or generate the image properly like the hands, eyes, and hair mostly. What I am saying is it easy to tell a beginner artist and ai image apart from each other.
You're here, claiming that you are on a vacation, claiming that your tweets are scheduled. YOU CANNOT SCHEDULE TWEETS. You can SCHEDULE RU-vid videos, but that doesn't change the fact that you respond to comments. Your vacation is 100% a lie. Your response is the worst. You could have updated the video, adding the fact that the loli VTubers made a google doc, but no, you decided to instead misinform people. Congrats. You made people put a DENT on you.
Bro she literally still gaining subscribers what are I taking about she was at 50k now at 60k subscribers. And test u can schedule tweets/post on some of the platforms and u can schedule prerecorded videos as well. Yea she is on her vacation that doesn’t mean she can’t respond to comments on here.
I actually think 2:00 is fine edit : I’m just saying the style of drawing the ears like that is fine, yes i agree it’s ai and yes I agree ai is terrible
@@defaulted9485 I don’t know what that is and I hate ai too but I was just saying the ear looks fine! Guys please don’t misunderstand me. I am a artist myself and that’s how I draw my elf ears
@@bladechild2449 I mean, when people buy art, they’re expecting it to be made by a person. I doubt that they’d be happy to learn they spent their money on something that required 0 effort.
Nice try bucko! Selling AI "art" isn't scamming as long as you promote the image as such, but Neko Nudge did not mention the use of AI in any of their products at all so it could mislead potential buyers into thinking that it is actual art drawn by a human, so it classifies as scamming.
