Amazing info thank you ! I love the level you’ve taken it to and how custom and professional it is 🙌 my question for you is for someone who is just starting out and doesn’t have a budget but has some awesome stickers to sell , what’s the best way I can get started shipping stickers securely on the cheap ? I would eventually like to take it to the level you have with the packaging but I can’t start off my operation like that at the moment .
I processed my first online order. It would cost 3.88 to ship my 4x5 domestic envelope. It was fine because I put flat rate shipping of 4.99 but it was cheaper to honestly just use a postage stamp an do standard mail. Just wont have tracking.
You are so personable -- totally subscribing! This video came at just the right time for me since I am just starting my own little etsy shop and am still exploring how to package and ship everything, so this was very helpful! Also, the editing isfantastic.
shipping is based on type of package, size of package, and weight of package as well as destination. Etsy will calculate this for you, if you use their shipping.
i don’t know if anybody else has mentioned it, but the sendpro subscription still comes with the free scale! i was going to buy a scale off amazon, but as i was signing up for sendpro, i realized they still include it! :D
Hello! I was wondering how you account for shipping costs in your products. In the video we saw that you calculate shipping costs after a customer purchases something so is it that you offer free shipping and then pay for the label + shipping from your own pocket or do you put the costs in the final price? IDK if I'm making sense lol @soosanmoo
@@Jessica.xo1 hey. It's because each postage option has quite a wide bracket on weight. So long as I check the weight of the item I can incorporate the cost in the price via Etsy.
@@wintershowling7591 oh sorry I meant like let’s say they order multiple things then the new elope becomes heavier, how do you incorporate the shipping in that because it’s in one order
@@Jessica.xo1 AHH okay! Hmm how to explain, each item already has postage included, so when they're buying multiple things the incorporated postage adds up too. Which still pays itself off if it breaches the next postage weight limit. (?)
This video was sooooooo helpful I'm really grateful for this fantastic video! I really found it helpful because I'm starting a small business soon and I wish u good luck with your shop so buh bye ❤
I had this recommend and I'm so glad I watched it! New subscriber 🥰 I just started my sunglasses business on Etsy and would love to know how/where did you design your packing slips? 😍
Hi you’re so cute 🥰 love how much love you put into your packaging. I’m mailing 4x5 stickers and wondering if you’d suggest I use a cardboard insert with stickers?
She mentioned in another comment that some post offices consider it as a flat while others consider it as a package. :( So she switched to regular envelopes to avoid that
Love your video do you think it would be good idea Imto use just stamps if the customer is in the same state to save on shipping I wouldn’t be able to track though and shipping label if out of state.
I just started my stickers shop on etsy and was wondering if I would need to put a return address on the package? I don't want to put my own personal home address on the address and PO BOX are pretty expensive in my area and don't want to invest just yet until my shop has a good high traffic. Any recommendations or tips?
Hi! Just saw this and thought I could share what I do. It is not required to place return addresses on domestic US orders using USPS Stamps. However, if your packages are undeliverable, they won’t have anywhere to send it back to. You would need to put return labels for international orders or if you use the online programs to create your shipping labels. I hope that helps. :)
I wanna start my own small business but after seeing and calculating all the costs and fee and supplies and my time. How does one make any money/profit? Like if I sell a sticker sheet for 4.50, but after taking all the fees and costs out, it doesn’t even pay for the items itself let alone any profit. I’m so confused how people make money selling a sticker sheet for 3$ Any advice.
Thank you for this video! Very informative and you have the cutest packaging. Just one question - is there a reason you use sendpro rather than just printing the shipping labels through Etsy?
I didnt know we had to sign our name for international shipping orders o.o I havent been doing that >.< and I just notice it does have a "sign here" at the bottom of one of my international orders hahah
Is SendPro worth it? For my Etsy shop idea, I would need to ship boxes which I know will be more expensive. How much would it cost using SendPro? PLEASE help
Omg. Somebody at usps told me I couldn’t put a label on a Kraft envelope cuz they’re not thick enough. I’m so mad. I’ve been using the printable stamps this whole time, writing out the address!!!!
I can honestly say this video was worth it for the shipping process! I’ve been using pirate ship for a few months but it costs me a few dollars to ship just stickers because there wasn’t a envelope option. Thank you so so much and everything was so cute!!
Omg Thank you! I'm opening my etsy shop this week and this was the one thing I hadn't figured out yet. It's so easy with that website to print labels! So helpful!
@@drawanimatewithme6755 Hi, Thanks for asking. Not the best only made a few sales. But I'm adding stickers to my photo prints so hopefully that boost some sales.
