Are your packages insured? I’d be super frustrated as a business owner as well but I absolutely love that you are proactive in making sure your customers are taken care of!
Before you remake. Go to the post office and see if they can find your package. Girl the post office is a mess and you can trust it when they go in the blue box. 🌧️
Great video. I hate dropping off to post office unless I go through the line and make sure they scan. Otherwise I have them pick up at my house. My mail lady even gave me a box when I have alot and she brings it back empty the next day. I can say I am spoiled but the post office literally causes all kinds of problems now a days!
Honestly I never have issues, but I never just drop in the box. I always take them inside and put them on the counter and confirm that they see them. Just my experience.
I have had so many "chats" with out postmaster regarding this. I've also spoken with Etsy as a lot of my orders still show "pre-transit" even after the customer has already received the order AND left feedback. Etsy blames the post office and the post office blames Pitney Bowes (the shipping partner that Etsy uses.) All I know is that it is super frustrating and very costly to me because I always replace orders.
If the shipping issue happens again try calling the USPS customer service line. For some reason that will end up getting a package scanned more. My mail carrier was notorious for losing packages so I always take them directly to the post office. I have only had maybe one true lost package. Also look in to Etsy Purchase Protection. I have used it and had some of my customers use in for things like this. It lets you potentially keep the funds and them get their money back.

What a good vlog with the ad hoc trip to your work! Those dogs are such a handful, I donno how you guys do it with all these doggies! So sad about that order, time wasted for the buyer and waste of money for you. :( While watching, I was doing my budget for August. :) Also paid my rent. :D ⛈
