This game was played on patch 1.23 with Cradle of civilization expansion. I started as Mamluks with a goal to recreate Arabian Empire. I didn't played a game for a year so I wanted easy game with easy start so i could get familiar with new features.

Historically greece was called greecstan by the europeans under ottoman rule so maybe serbstan is Historically accurate. But stan is persian and turkish arabs would add iah to the end so it should be serbiah since the empire was an arabic empire

It's a bit tricky; the suffix -stan means land/place in Persian. In real-life, you also have Afghanistan, Uzbekistan etc. who have that name even though they aren't arabic.

Damn, you got lucky with the Ottomans. In my game(on 1528 right now), they took alot of Qara Qoyunlu and Southern Europe, allied Castile and Tunis and vassalised Crimea. I was only able to get alliances with Poland(who no longer had Lithuania) and Austria(who had Hungary). My alliance was still atleast 20k short of theirs though, so now I'm in political stalemate hoping France will ally me.

I honestly just attack them at the start of the game... Ally tunis so they don't ally with ottos... Get a claim on one of the costal provinces and defeat them before they reach tech 4... Hold on to there anatolia provinces than everyone starts declaring wars... Hungary wallachia byz Albania all declared war... Ottos were in a complete state of war for 10 years than when I invaded again it was a cake walk..... Just choose your battles wisely ottos can still kill you if u go 20vs20 must have 5 to 6k extra men... Once they are gone there's literally no one to stop u

In my case it's just making borders cleaner and adding some realism. But in game where you want to expand as much as possible if you take more than 100% Overextension you make client state and later diplo-annex them

I'm not sure but i think AI looks only army sizes and tech level when deciding who to attack. As me + Georgia (latter Morocco and Tlemcen) always had bigger army than Turks+Tunis they never attacked. In new patch Ottomans and Mamluks are evenly matched, Mamluks even start with larger army and force limit. In 90% of games I go quantity for big army and a lot of manpower.

Yes the ai looks for the army size in deciding to go to war and even coalitions are formed due to which side has more troops.

That´s nonsense. I had declared coalition war on me three times, they always lost, because they had half army compared only to me, not to mention my allies. The AI is retarded and unpredictable, honestly I have no idea what triggers them to attack

It is after the conversion of the Kipchak Turks to Islam that the Circassians will be in majority but at the time of Sultan Baybars the Mamluks were predominantly Turkics and not Circassians or Geogians.

Countries form coalitions if they have more than 50ae and if they think they can beat you. You get ae depending who you conquer, if you conquer Muslim states Christian states get minimal ae. So first conquer one religious group. When they don't exist anymore go to the next one. That is one way of avoiding coalitions. Also AE in HRE is ridiculous, you must be very cautious there

Hi, nice timelapse, but I have a question. When you create Serbistan and that Greek client state, how do you actually do it? Are you in ironman mode? Because without ironman I can add custom nations, then with console give them territories and make them my vassals, but how can you make them be your vassals inside your country's territory? I've been looking for the answer for such a long time but can't seem to figure out.

Fact : Founders of mamluks were not circassian. Sultan Muizzuddin El-Mansur Aybeg who founder of mamluks is a Kipchak which is a turkic tribe. Circassians were brought to the bureaucracy later. In addition, turkish was the official language in bureaucracy from the begining to the fall(1250-1517).

I just rushed the minors the ottomans had around them to stop ottoman expansion after killing the ottomans in 1600s I went after Persia Ethiopia and India I'm still going in my campaign but I'm make $ 350 in trade

Oh man, I tried playing as the Mamluks after the patch that seriously buffed them... And holy shit. They are now SO OP, it's almost not fun anymore. You start off literally stronger than the Ottomans, you can vassalize half of the arabian peninsula and then diplo-annex them without any wars, you can expand by actually doing wars in any direction you want, you will ALWAYS have a decent ruler, never having to worry about heirs and such and the only time it gets any challenging is when half of the world is in a coalition against you and launches a war with like 30 nations in them. But at this point, you are so disgustingly huge, you can just release three nations and pussy out, immediatly vassalize them and get ready to diplo-annex in 10 years. And after the truce ends, just continue war-mongering. Basically, you have already won by the time you start the campaign. I'm pretty sure I could have done the unify islam thing (that was primarily what I was going for), but then of course Paradox threw in another update that makes you not being able to continue your saved game anymore.
