In this video titled EU4 A to Z - Forming Saxony and Prussia and Destroying The HRE as Anhalt I do a playthrough as Anhalt in Europa Universalis 4 1.31 Leviathan. This is the ninth video in my series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of Anhalt and I attempt to form Saxony and Prussia and dismantle The Holy Roman Empire. So let's see if I managed to do it! Challenge for Ansbach (better than France and Prussia): 1. Form Franconia 2. Have Prussia and France as a PU or Vassal 3. Win Religious war as a Protestant Leader 4. Have 100 dev in your Capital

To be fair, the enemies had decimated you, but given it's 1543, you still exist, have a few provinces and you destroyed the main obstacle in the region that was HRE, I think that this campaign might be salvageable, maybe even Germany-formable in hands of a skilled player!

Ansbach starts with a PU, 1diplo rep from traditions and same dynasty as Brandenburg. So I think what you should do as them is just go ham on PU's. Their formable (Franconia) also gets a PU on France.

Agreed. To spice it up further, why not go for 5 subjects from 5 different culture groups, pu's, vassals and marches to kinda symbolize Charlemagne's conquests of Europe.

I mean, is it IMPOSSIBLE to write a line of code that says "NO" to War of Alpurrajas rebels leaving Castilian territory? If having them teleport to Ceuta isn't feasible, surely the devs can prevent the whole wandering rebels thing. I think many of us have had sudden encounters with Granadan rebels while involved in delicate troop operations ... IN GERMANY, Poland, Armenia, etc. Btw, great vid again, Red Hawk!

For Ansbach you can form Franconia (extra missions) PU over France and reconquer Holy Land, you will also get PU over Brandenburg.

I noticed that you can form Prussia whilst you are Hussite...when you get to Bohemia (assuming you haven't gone insane by this point) I IMPLORE you to form Hussite Prussia as them

I got a peasants war 3 times in a row during a campaign. I think I was getting out of the disaster too early before my country was stable enough. Almost ragequit an otherwise good Austria game.

its not that the new peasants war in the HRE is a repeatable disaster, only way to fix is to cave in or crush the peasantry or keep your manpower high so you never get the disaster the normal peasants war is still a thing

The dynasty that rules Anhalt, the Ascanians, actually used to rule Brandenburg, Upper Saxony, Lower Saxony, Hesse and Thuringia at various points in time.

My most fun campaign was definitely hands down my Teutonic order into HRE - Prussia- Germany real fun dismantled HRE after I helped Austria win the religious war and there were only 2 eligible electors, gonna wait a while but can’t wait to see this series get to Livonia then Teuton order

Check out the requirements for great peasant war modifier in the triggerable modifiers (the menu where you get The Pentarchy, East India Trading Company and Rapid Collapse of Society)

I Had a great tall Anhalt Game didnt Change the Nation thougt. Allied Brandenburg and wanted to DoW Magdeburg which was my Rival but Brande Allied them as well. Saxony hated my Guts and was to Strong so I really dient Had high hopes for this campaign and planned to start new. Something Magical Happend Brande Declared on Saxony and called me In. I declined because this Doucheballied my Rival. I RMd Saxony Allied them and fougth a War against Brande and Magdeburg. Saxony gave me 2 Provincesfor my Help Magdeburg and Altmark. XD

What causes cores to randomly be added? I was allied to France as Switzerland and when they joined the catholic league after I became the Protestant league leader in got a core on a province next to Paris.. I am unsure how because I didnt see any events and the missions dont give cores. The only thing that I really did was take Burgundy's starting capital around the start of the 1500s.

Some of them that were allies were made to break their alliance with me while we were still in a war together, so it didn’t count

I just got the great peasants war just 3 times, because the emporer was to stupid to end it :/ Sad story, after that, I was instandly deleting that save file. So many admin points wasted to stab up :((

you got the peasant's war twice in a row because the great peasants war WILL force the normal peasant's war disaster to spawn for as long as the incident is running unless you leave the hre. it's a dumb, broken incident.
