In this video titled EU4 A to Z - This TINY NATION Is MORE POWERFUL THAN PRUSSIA I do a playthrough as Butua in Europa Universalis 4 1.33 France. This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of Butua, and I attempt to do a know world conquest, basically conquer everything I can see in 1444, pretty much the subcontinent of Southern Africa. I actually think East Africa might be my favorite obscure area for campaigns. I just love all of the little angles and strange lines it gives you. I especially love doing a Madagascar run as a one off every so often.

When you said the next country was Butuan, I immediately thought of Bhutan. So why not conquer that portion of greater Tatary as a Moluccan OPM?

Crispy fried anchovies is good shit, I have learned recently. Given that Butuan is in the Phillipines, then logically they should spread the beauty of crunchy fried anchovies across the world by conquering as many fish provinces as they can until they produce the majority of all the fish in the world. Alternately, take over the Phillipines, use the power of Expand Infrastructure to play very, very tall while hogging all of the institutions to yourself via being an isolated island, and then beat the everloving shit out of Spain (or whichever strong Andalusian power is the equivalent thereof). Counter-colonisation is always fun.

Most castles would surrender pretty damn quickly after seeing thousands of troops putting them under siege though, or they would be ignored because they wouldn't be strategically important

To be honest , that's the main problem , why is feudal France having same amount (or sometimes less) forts than South Africans? It just doesn't make sense to me that the Australian tribes figured out feudal fortifications before they figured the concept of "discover adjacent body of many islands".

Historically you can bypass a fort if it's not the only route to go for the capital. That's why the Chinese wall was constructed.

Butua, the african Prussia. Did the Rozwi Empire achievement with it a few years ago. An insanely good tag to play with. I literally took on Spain, GB and their colonies alone with Butua. And won.

In one of my Morocco games I had tons of rebels everywhere I was just ignoring them my vassel of hungry had quantity ideas so he had 100 plus troops marching around killing my rebels as long as I was at war.

For Butuan I would love some trolling as a Cebuano: Desperately try to become a Sikh Empire of the Philippines. Become Islamic by losing to Sulu and conquer Cebu to get that Hindu province and have Leyte as a Sunni province to become Sikh. Conquer Brunei and make their provinces Sikh. Then invade Madagascar and Sri Lanka to reintegrate the Southeast Asian and Tamil natives back.

When you play as caraib play whit no DLC since you can blob much faster and you are able to Always keep more than 50% trade power in the Caribbean trade node whit some helpful events. Also try to stack as many colonist as possible. You can colonize faster than evryone ever could whit the post leviatan caraib (post leviatan but no DLC). I challenge you to own all of the new world little island included. Oh well commented to fast cz I didn't know you still have to play other nations before. There are just too many BU nations. How many nations starting whit B are still left?

Butuan sees Butua and realizes they should be identical. Convert Butua to Hinduism and make Butua only exist in island provinces. And given that Butuan will have to rip Butua away from their valuable gold provinces, it only makes sense that Butuan would share the financial pain and go bankrupt themself as well.
